I'll go along with all that.
Our weakness on the wings cost us again. Two tries in the corner nearest me that might have been stopped had we had a full complement at the back, or better - the funds to pay for some better quality out wide. As with the Leeds game, I think the difference in the teams was that one has quite a bit more to spend on players than the other. And thousands of stay-away supporters won't help plug that gap.
Outstanding effort - could not have asked for more. Right till the end. After the first few minutes, I thought we would be dead and buried. As it was, despite the weakness out wide we could so easily have won that. I suspect a crucial Silverwood decision may have cost us yet again, but I'd like the benefit of seeing it again first. He made some bad ones against them too, albeit not necessarily as crucial.
Neither team deserved to lose, but we certainly did not.
Disaster about Donno if its cruciates. A clean break might well have been better for him.
Could not have asked for more from the team today. Sadly, we just did not have the numbers or the quality across every position that the monied clubs have. But we had the effort and want-to-win that so nearly more than made up for that.

| Proud of the effort there today. Made the multi-millionaires of wire look pretty ordinary. A 4 point defeat. Wire a try from a forward pass. Silverwood up to his usual games. So not too disheartened.
Shocking turn out from the Bulls fans. Shame on you. Great support for Warrington. Glad you not all like the group of lasses waving V-signs at us all match. Grow up. Your parents (probably the ones stood with you) must be so proud.

Maybe not (although IMO he was the difference) but the video ref did. Last week Nero had a try dissallowed because the video ref thought he tackled Donald in the air when Donald had in fact stopped. Working on that basis then the clear push on Platt by Westwood as he went for the ball when Hicks grounded the deciding score should (in the rules of the game) have meant it was wiped off.

Bit harsh Ewwen. Heat of the moment you don't always see things like that AND you play to the ref. You're anger should surely be against the match officials rather than the attacking side.
As I posted earlier, I think the ref made some poor decisions both ways, . . . . though as I biased I think he did us more

Happened right in front of me. I did not understand why that did not seem to be looked at by the vidref same way as the Nero incident was last week. Anyone who saw it on TV able to shed any light? All of us said the same.

I thought Harrison was the one signalling to the ref to stop play.

You could see from the way he fell that he was badly injured - The Warrington players knew this, they should have alerted the ref straight away or took the tackle there but running round the injured player to make metres isn't the way to do it. That's one area football beats us at - if that happened most players would give posession back to the other team rather than try and use it to their advantage.
Also, when was the last time a penalty was given for time wasting? Or not binding at the scrum?? If you add 10 seconds from each scrum on then our momentum at the end could have seen us score in the dying seconds

I watched it on tele (before FA has a go I've been filling a bucket with sick most of last night and this morning and had bought a ticket) and could not understand why it was giving. The forward pass try was marginal but to me that was quite clear.

It didn't look like Platty would could have got to it / didn't have the ball as in last weeks game, though I take the point.
I suppose the difference could be that Westwood wasn't the one who grounded it.
We're were also talking Hicks ( I think they'll really going to miss him next year) millimeters away from the back line. Great effort by him.

That's not the point though. If Nero's hands hadn't have touched Donald he wouldn't have got the ball anyway. The only consistency in RL refereeing is that its consistently poor.

You're making the mistake of expecting some level of consistency in video ref decision making. Surely you've been watching RL long enough now to know that doesn't happen.
Anyway I think the reason we lost today was that we're just a player short of breaking the game open. Had we had Kearney and Langley it might have been different but again it was on the fringes where we lost it.
Despite all that it was a superb effort and a very bruising game. Credit to Warrington for having enough to scrape the win.

1 in a game??
Great work for his try!!! Don't just take into account the negatives.
Worrincy's defence was good today, he was trying to cover the ball alot more than any other player.

| TBH Started out wanting a Wire win today but after a number of screw ups by Silverwood (yet again) was shouting for the Bulls at the end, how he didn't rule a knock on after Morley had touched it 1st then the Wire fullback? was beyond me.
At that point Bulls were on a roll and a score there would have changed the game IMO, too many wrong decisions from these fools who are paid very good money, was a few from the fool yesterday too.
No other sport seems to have officials making some many wrong decisions, not sure if it to do with the amount of times they have to get involved but sommert needs sorting and fast.

| I suppose the problem for our Wingers/Centres is we only seem to see them in defense of carrying the ball up the middle. We are missing a good loose forward to get the ball to them on attack and give them the chance to run. We aren't blessed with the best back line in the League and Worrincey does leave a lot to desire, but they are making the effort now. I suppose they are playing to impress the new Coach. Still think throwing youngsters in every now and again would keep them on their toes and it is always possible you may get a pleasant surprise from one or more of the kids. Plent of Rugby still to play this Season...

| No Kearney, Langley, Reardon or Crookes, and Scully yet to pull on a shirt. With a thin squad anyway. and it sounds like several played today who really should not have.
And yet we so nearly pulled it off. What a result that would have been - I went today expecting us to get tonked, tbh.
Interesting to see most neutrals seem to be saying Silverwood's calls went more their way than ours?
Donno is cruciates, I've just read. Season over. Bollox Bollox Bollox. Bollox to the power of bollox.
Just hope today has not taken too much out of us for next week.
