I agree, I think the Mk2 shirt definately looks better than Mk1

didnt someone say the RFL had a problem with the shirt design as originally shown with langley. Something to do with the slashes interfering with the numbers?. If correct then the amended one l'estrange had on is probably to correct this and will be player issue. The original design had probably been already manufactured ( or at least the current batch). Wether the amended design ever becomes available as a replica shirt is an interesting problem for the club. Will certainly make any player issue shirts from this year available as prizes etc, real collectors items if the amended design is never released through club shop.

I'm not sure why they changed it but they definately did. I presume the top L'Estrange was wearing in the photo was a player top and Langley was wearing a supporters top. If that is the case the club should of made it general knowledge that when ordering a top you would receive the supporters top.

As previously said the stripes are different, the sleeves are longer, the RAB stripes are smaller.

As Said before mate a few times, i was told by the club the shirt was altered due RFL numbering issues, the way in which a number is stamped onto it was a problem with the initial design, particularly the angles of the =#FF0000R=#FFBF00A=#000000B blades.

So, does that mean that moving forward the design will be a la heath l'estrange pic but the club has stock of the Langley vintage?

I cant quite believe that if you buy a REPLICA shirt it is actually a different design to the actual one the players wear. Surely this misses the whole point in replica shirts. This will put me right off buying one!

isn't that the the meaning of the word "replica" ? To replicate something the players wear? Maybe there's better technology going into the player's shirts and to let the public wear the same shirts would make the cost a lot higher? I've no problem with it so long as they look the same. I don't think anybody's fans will be wearing the exact same shirt as the ones the players wear unless they win a raffle.

from what i've seen of the 2 "different" designs they look pretty much the same. nobody's going to mistake which club you are following wearing one or the other.

Im going to be taking mine back when the away shirt comes out and just a swap.

I don't pay £45 for something that the players won't be playing in.

Keep it in its box and take it on Antiques Roadshow in twenty years.

When i saw the pic of Le'strange it was a big improvment on the shirt Langley modelled but if its the Langley version i def won't be purchasing one..Has anyone contacted the club and complained?

That probably confirms that the shop has a bulk supply of the original design that they are trying to get rid!

If the club need to move these on why not get the players just to sign a load, I'm sure fans will buy them then.

Heath is wearing a players fit and design top. Players tops have no embroidery, everything is printed (see engage patches and bulls logo). They are more expensive to produce (around £11) where the replicas done in bulk cost a lot less.

Unfortunatly you, the punter get a raw deal. Player fit and design shirts are much better than the cr@p put out by clubs these days.

The back of the player shirts are all white, with a black flash at the bottom of the number as per the RFL request for the name and number to be clearly visible.

I had an email from the club saying that if you purchase a new shirt from the webshop it will be a L'Estrange replica and not a Langley one. Good news!!

Good news for you, but not everyone else who has already got one. Means I will have to make another trip to try and exchange mine, I bought one for my dad as well but I think he's taken all the labels of it so will have to see if they will exchange that one.
