| Quote ="Roofaldo"Well I think the worst thing that can happen is a mass clear out. During our period of success it was a case of a 2 or 3 player turn around per season. Lots of new faces can disrupt the harmony of the team and leave us no better off than we are.
As I've said, the team has proved it CAN get the job done. The problem seems to be one of motivation ie the team are up for games against Leeds & Saints but don't seem to bother against everyone else and yet the coach seems to lack ideas on how to combat this and even admits he has no idea how to solve it. Therefore the coach requires either replacing or having someone brought in with more experience to oversee him.'"
Well I think about 4-5 are needed next season, which isn't really a mass clearout.
Platt to a championship side where he belongs, -ideally- Karmichael Hunt to replace but that may not be very realistic.
Deacon dropped to reserves, either Brett Kimmorley, Darren Lockyer or Matt Orford to replace.
Langley either put into cover for prop or sold and get a good LF: either Dene Halatau or Reni Maitua.
Not sure about Centres, it'd be a toss up between a centre and an impact prop.
Justin Poore comes to mind for prop, then for centre i'd go with Brett Delaney- He's young, fast and still learning.
So my team for next season would be (it will never happen but):
Karmichael Hunt
Halley
Delaney
Nero
Sheriffe
Lockyer
Jeffries
Lynch
Newton
Scruton
Burgess
Menzies
Dene Halatau
Worrincy
Kopzcak
Rinaldi (I'd have him over Wagga)
Scruton
Then contesting for places on form:
Crookes
Sykes
Langley
Matt Cook
Matt James (if he re-signs)
And the rest of the young 'uns.

Well I suppose I could win the EuroMillions and finance these signings for the club. I'd say that was pretty unrealistic though... unfortunately.

| I hope Andy Lynch is resigned, I really do. I also like the big prop forward at Roosters, O'Meley. Apparently Roosters are fealing the salary cap pressure and are ready to offload some big names. With his mate Fitzgibbon coming over, and O'Meley having only a few years left in the tank, this could be a player we could attract, and in my books should be aiming for.

| What about Danny Brough? Looks like he might be on his way out as his latest club have had to suspend him for his latest breach of discipline. maybe with a strict disciplinarien like Steve Mac guiding him he might sort him out.

You can hardly call Steve McNamara a strict disciplinarien when his players clearly do not have the discipline needed to concentrate for 80 minutes, consistently. I've stayed quiet on Steve McNamara for a long time, I've given him as much time as I could possibly bare, now my support for him is running thin. I think we need a new head coach.

Not one of those players would come to a dire team in England. Especially Lockyer. If he comes over, expect him to be at a better team.
Hunt simply wont come to Super league. Either Japanese Rugby Union, Or he will stay in the NRL, because he is still being selected for the Kangeroo's.
People need to get realistic on any player from the NRL. Unless there on the verge of retiring, or pretty lost there talent they wouldn't come to Bradford.

Not a right lot of difference between Lockyer and Menzies. He's 36 and still the best stand off in the world by Aussie selection processes. No way would i rule him coming to Bradford. Mind you he might...

I doubt he would come. He has never won the world club championship, and hes always said thats what he wants to win. That means he's either going to go to Saints or Leeds if ho does come over; But I doubt he will.
Even if Lockyer came over, i don't think he could change Bradford into a top 3/4 team again. We need a good squad. Not just one great player.

You actually have no clue.
For one thing, the main criterion for any player coming over is his contract. The "I want to win things" bit is just obligatory hype and blarney.
For another, you can't speak for any of these players, much as you like to think you can. The same argument could easily have been made in relation to Menzies. But he's here, last time I looked.
For another, if we are talking about 2011, that is enough time for our rebuilding process to have made some significant strides. If anyone was interested into where we might be in 2011-12, rather than now, then you'd have to say we have some highly promising things to look forward to.
And whilst the results are overall not pretty reading, anyone looking at the squad would hardly think it's a bunch of nog-enders, would they?
Then there is the size of the club, its past and recent history, not to mention the excellent contacts/references/call them what you will in Aus in people like Brian Smith and Matthew Elliott, who are highly respected people.
then there is the word of players we already have, such as the legendary Steve Menzies and Morro.
No, I think the Bulls club can and would sell itself a whole lot better than you'd be likely to if you were given the job.

I am disturbed by the fact I'm finding myself agreeing with you more often than not lately. That pretty much sums up my thoughts too.
I especially like the term "nog-enders". Not quite mutant pig dogs, but still pretty good!
I just wish we had a little more open dialogue from the club to fans

1- Menzies has clearly come over to finish his career. Yes I know hes very talented, but to have a talented player for 1 or 2 years isn't as good as getting a talented player who will serve the club for longer.
2-I didn't mean to seem like i was speaking for the players, although i admit it came across that way. I was just looking at things realistically, because players like Hunt are in their prime and are still in contension for Australia selection. I can't think of many Aussies who have come over to England, whilst still having the chance to represent the Kangeroo's. That's all i was saying.
