Never felt he was anything remotely special TBH. He is a bloody awful defensive FB, and his positioning sense is woeful. He might score a few, but he concedes plenty more.

The latest from Leeds yesterday was that they've fined Zak and warned him about future conduct but expect him back for pre season training where they can help him move forward. If they were going to release him now would have been the time. If he's not going and they still have BJB why would they sign BK? I'd expect BK will still be our FB next season.

If hardaker stays they don't need BK. Hopefully whatever hardaker did to get fined has derailed both his and BKs moves.

Seems a bit of an odd one this. The rumour had been heard by several different sources, and mat seemed adamant that BK was leaving.
I suppose it could still all go through but why would Leeds put out a statement like that if Hardaker was not staying at the club?

Pure speculation here, but if it was me who was Zak's boss.....

He does whatever he's done to breach discipline, so I fine him, give him his warning, and all I say to the press is "it's been dealt with internally, Zak will turn up for training on such and such date". I don't give details of how it's been dealt with, just that it has.

If I were giving those kind of details to the public, it would be because I intended on letting them know what a bad boy he was, in preparation for him leaving the club.

When I saw Leeds giving the very details of how he was disciplined, I believed he was on his way out. The only thing that doesn't fit with that is them saying he'll be back for training. Why would you say that, if you knew he was leaving?

It's all a little bit odd to be honest, and the statement from Leeds to me, just made it weirder.

Could be a couple of reasons for this, first could be taking the blame away from mcnamara as hes had nothing but grief! But more importantly I think it could be more a case of Hardaker wanting to leave rather than Leeds letting him, everything thats happened will obviously have found its way back to particular clubs interested in him, but the fans of these clubs will be none the wiser! So if Leeds want him to stay making a public statement with such a hefty fine could lead to fans of other clubs saying do we need such a bad apple? May rail road any interest from another club if the clubs fans are totally against it. This then leaves Hardaker on the contract he wants upgrading at Leeds which wont happen in their supposed tight structure, with no other club to go to for a pay rise!

I'm surprised at nothing after Bateman in the T&A saying how the loss of Langley would be a big shoes to fill - although credit to John he didn't say he was going to be the one hanging around to take his place!

They wouldn't, UNLESS Hardaker was going. The strength of the rumour regarding Kearney is all based on Hardaker. If Hardaker goes, it may have some weight. If he doesn't, it won't happen.

No way Leeds would keep Hardaker and sign Kearney.

A few weeks ago I thought we looked to be heading into 2014 with a slightly larger squad and a bit more experience but with all the leavers and rumoured leavers we could be left with an even smaller squad and more of the "bigger" names gone.

Any more rumours on whether Kearney is joining the Rhinos? In League Weekly Nosey Parker mentioned a possible swap with Hardaker. Might be a wild rumour but would you welcome him.

I'd be quite happy with that swap, but I don't think that Zac would take very well with what FC

It's also good to read BK's testimonial to L'Estrange--perhaps the Leedsfan on another thread may now stop the character assassination!
I'm pleased the T&A has responded to all the speculation about BK and asked a direct question. Can I suggest they now ask FC and/or RHP whether there is any prospect of further departures?

I think he will demand the same, which may still cause problems. FC's issues recently seems to revolve around the players that have a bad influence on others. He seems happy to cut ties, and keep a happy squad.

For the record, I actually think Franny is doing a solid job, given everything that he has had to endure over the past year. His recent dealings seem to show he wants a team that is disciplined where players stay away from the drinking and partying scene.
