Just been to see where all this started. A guy posting as "Odsalbull" on the T&A rantaboard after the Hull KR debacle wanting a protest which can be summed up as "Macca out; Hood out".

Where is the "in" bit to replace the "outs"? Any fool can attack the symptoms; it seems considerably fewer can address the underlying causes.

A considerably more thoughtful contributor (so it seems), shortly afterwards, argued that now was the time for the board to go find a new chairman with some money, cos there must be people out there dying for the chance.

Funnily enough, that was precisely what Hood and the board tried to do when Caisley went (and when the club was probably a much more marketable proposition than it is right now). That was why Hood would only call himself "acting chairman" for ages. It was only when no such mythical saviour was forthcoming that Hood - reluctantly, as far as I am aware - accepted he'd have to be the chairman for a while to come.

Maybe the Sack Hood cadre within the Sack Mack brigade know something or someone that the board don't? If they do, especially since that would fly in the face of current economic realities, they have been remarkably coy in sharing it!

Yeah but it was a curry van that didn't sell curry. Or at least it was when I went to it at something like this season's 2nd game.

Bollox to the curry van...I'll willingly take to the streets to demand the return of the roast pork and stuffing sandwich van!

The curry van is still there isn't it, I only saw it a few weeks back I'm sure. I prefer a jacket spud with tuna mayo anyway, then three doughnuts. Ever tried eating a doughnout without licking your lips, it's well hard.

Yeah last I checked there was a fish & chip van round the back of the away terracing.

That fish and chip stall almost got me lynched earlier in the season.

Was Hull FC at home and I was walking past, oblivious to the fish and chips place on the left.. and I came out with 'God, I know we're playing Hull and they're called the codheads but I never actually thought they'd smell of fish'.

Are they £5? I got some at Leeds and it was bang on a fiver.

I wish they had pie vans like they do in Australia(to that standard I mean) or proper Chips like the ones that are served in Belgium. Yummy.

That's funny. I remember when we played KR and FC earlier on in the season, both times as I crossed the Bridge over Huddersfield Road/Manchester Road, you could see the cod's queued up outside to get their fix.

It's actually people from Grimsby that are the Codheads though.
