Forgive me but you have gone into admin, so it didn't work did it?

| Sorry to hear this guys. We at Wakefield know all too well how this moment feels and can understand how it hurts. I do however have every belief that someone will come in and reignite the phoenix from the flames and Bradford will rise again. Dare I say it, for us it was probably the best thing to happen to our club in a long time!
I just wish it had happened sooner for you guys so it would have been resolved by now. Instead I pity the actions of the old board and feel for the fans who also paid in. Whilst I always felt for the fans, the writing was on the wall when the pledge was made. My deliberate action of not putting money in the collection bucket was not an action against the fans, just a feeling that this day was going to happen.
I sincerely wish you well and look forward to meeting a stronger and revitalised Bradford next year.
P.S. Can we have the 2 points from last Sunday please?

| Really feel for the Bradford fans this morning, when the Wire nearly went under we had to sell Harris and Sculthorpe along with running probably the worse squad in the club's history, and the next few seasons weren't the best to say the least but we have come back and no doubt you will too, there'll be no gloating from the true fans of the other clubs but you'll be in our thoughts. Never give up, you'll be back.

| Bad news but kind of inevitable I guess. It wont be the last. I dont see how the likes of London Broncos can be a viable business for starters and others must be on the brink.
SL will have to contract in size in the short term and I think players will have to take a cut in pay or seek employment elsewhere the game simply doesnt generate the kind of money to pay high wages. If we lose a few starts to the NRL or RU then so be it.
Hope it works out for your club in the long run.

"complicit" ? How do you work that out?
Are you saying we shouldn't have bought any tickets at all? How would it have worked out if nobody had "snapped" any of them up?

| We were assured that Peter Hood had a plan once the 500k was raised, I'm sure when he puts it to the administrators it will be accepted as the way forward and he'll be back in charge to put it in motion.

| This is painful, the club may come out the other side of this, albeit with very little dignity, but if the unthinkable should happen then it's another lesson to be learned not just for Rugby League, but sport in general. We've all seen the Rangers debacle, there's other football clubs on the verge, county cricket sides are struggling, and this is the stark realisation that proffesional sport clubs can no longer take the mickey and chuck around other peoples cash with such gay abandon, and don't be fooled by recession and other recent excuses, the financial meltdown in proffesional sport has been coming for many years, and Bradford could end up being one of the many high profile casualties.

| Brendan Guilfoyle has just been talking on Sky Sports news. Key points he made:
The wage bill is closer to £300k per month and this is what is needed in 10 days to keep the club going next month
He was adamant no games were being played - it's a serious situation and a call to arms (his words)
That several parties have been in talks with the directors (not him) but for reasons only known to themselves nothing further than that.
I am seriously gutted. I love my club, and I don't want this to be the end.

Ta, and thanks to all the well wishers, and I agree, its times like these that you see people for what they are. I just hope we come out of it full stop. If some of our brighter prospects have to go to help the club survive then so be it, the youth system will have served a vital purpose, and hopefully will carry on providing the replacement players we'll need in the (hopefully) coming seasons.

| Is it likely that players will be sold to clear debts or are the contracts of these players now void? Or do they go void IF you enter liquidation?
The best guy to ask is your owner, the Warrington vultures have been hovering for some time!

IIRC fans were asked to commit to buying season tickets and if a certain number was reached then they would become available at bargain basement prices. It certainly wasn't a case of buying a cheap ticket or none at all.
The Bradford fans couldn't believe their luck and I don't remember many stopping to think about the financial impact it might have on the club.

I would expect Bateman, Whitehead, Addy etc to be sold on now. Not 100% on whether their contracts become void once the club enters administration.
Terrible day for the club.

| I've dug a couple of things up from my Fulham days, I'm not sure how the law stands now, so feel free to correct, ignore or insult as you see fit.
Firstly a quote from 'Note on Liquidation and Administration' on or after 16 August 1984, and that the respective registrations of the players with the club thereupon lapsed'.

I really hope the Bulls receive the investment they need to carry on and start afresh. As a Warrington fan I've seen us suffer in similar circumstances where our young players have been sold to pay the IR. Awful day for the game as a whole.
