and no doubt they are not paying any rent at the moment to use Odsal, the RFL can only do so much before other teams in the heartlands begin to ask can we have the same handouts the bulls are getting especially if the Bulls keep a strong team on the field.

If we come back in Championship 1 or 2 then we'd need the RFL to charge us a rent that is sensible given the much lower income at those levels of the game. Without that there's no point in bothering.

At SL level I'd expect the RFL are giving us some leeway at the moment but as I understand it the deal with the ground left them with the asset, not us, so it's hardly a handout.

For Championship 1 games we could play at Horsfall Stadium, it is more than adequate for that level.

How do we know this isn't happening already? We had a loan from the RFL that wasn't publicly known about until this sorry mess became apparent and was the reason behind the Odsal sale, in order for us to repay this loan.

I, for one, wouldn't be surprised if the RFL have had to loan money to at least a couple of other clubs that we are unaware of.

thought the asset belonged to the council, the RFL only hold a lease which allows the venue to be used as a sports stadium. The real value is if the lease is later sold on to developers and you can bet that the council will get any profit from that. So the RFL need a club their paying the market rate as that is what they paid for the lease.

We are not dead but one of my favourite occuring moments is always beating Wakey. Even if we have a truly poor season we will always beat you at least once a year

There is no reason why you can't get half decent crowds. That is in the hands of the fans.

Cas showed how this should be done.
Wakefield beat them in front of a big crowd in the "million dollar game" and they were relegated. That would imply we were in a much better state than them.
Yet on many an occassion the season after, they got bigger crowds than we did because their supporters backed them. That mean they could keep some of their young players and build again.

Bulls could do the same.

Absolutely, Wakey would be down in the Championship in no time. Don't forget to wave on the way past.

I think you will find when they did that promotion and relegation was still in place , I fear you will find it a very differant story now if you get dropped to Champ 1 .You will have to stay in Super League for someone interested in putting all that amount of money in anyway.

As we had over ten thousand paying fans I think you must be confused. Or maybe you had in mind Bulls fans who despite already having paid twice (season ticket, then Pledge) paid for a third time, before paying for a fourth time to the Hardship Fund?
