So what were saying is if Bulls had been playing say London there would have been less than 3000 there.

That's what happens then when its full price.

None of the 5th round crowds were anything to shout home about.

St Helens got less than 3k today, while Huddersfield only got 3k and they are in the top three playing well.

It was never going to be great attendance. Crappy weather, team form poor going into game, expencive tickets??, on the tv and opposition had a premier league game to stay up.

That was half an hour before Kick off when I took that too. There were more Wigan fans than that for the game.

Sad to see so few Bulls fans turn up though. I reckon quite a few wished they had as the game was going on. Funilly enough for me, the 3k Bulls fans that were there made more noise than the usual 10-12k.

To be fair, it's not that odd. It was down to the hardcore today - much like those who go to the away matches where there are often far better atmospheres than at Odsal. Very much an "all in it together" attitude and really pleased I made the effort to get over the pennines to get to the match.

Wigan always take a good following. I think the crowd would have been around 50/50 today

but we didnt have any away fans to 'swell' our gate ....so 3,000 i didnt think was that bad compared to some teams 'home' turnouts !!

Can you do any maths? 6000 attendance at Odsal, 50/50 Bulls/Wigan - so thats 3000ish Bulls fans. That would be the same as your total attendance suggesting you had less home fans to a game not on TV.

I'm shocked by the St Helens gate.

I wasn't trying to suggest we had more home fans than Bradford did today, i was merely pointing out that while other crowds were very low eg Salford, Saints etc they had away fans at their games too which makes their home support very poor indeed compared to our crowd which was all home fans and matched up and in fact beat the other crowds with away fans there too.

The RFL need to urgently look into reviving the Challenge Cup because the free entrance to the 4th round hasn't worked because crowds are still down.

I think it should be moved back to the end of May like the old times and start the season with the 4th and 5th rounds, quarter finals.

Bradford would be better in giving all season ticket holders a free ticket to the first home game in the CC rather than the first round.

We might not get that far though...

It is surprising, though I guess being in Widnes didn't help and, of course, the old favourite of Season pass holders having to pay. In don't know what it is with the cup these days, but it certainly isn't ticking the boxes for the fans.

I didn't go to the cup game for 2 reasons. one is that I have a season ticket and I'm trying to save some cash so the only games I can go to are the league games.

the other is that the game is on tv so I can still see it without having to spend any money. if money wasn't an issue then I would have been there.
