When they moved the shop to combine with the ticket office and i first went up, I thought, what a masterstroke, now, every single person who came for a ticket had to walk through the array of goods and so sales must have zoomed just through such a simple plan.

Anything was an improvement on that small portacabin. How previous regimes hoped to sell merchandise in such a small shop was beyond me. It was impossible to gain entry on matchday due to the crowds of people and the queues were ridiculous.

The amount of times I was considering a browse and purchase and took one look at the queues and thought “no way”.

A proper online shop with all products included is a total no brainer. The shop’s opening hours are no good for people with normal working hours or who live more than a few mins from Odsal so the club is missing out on a lot of potential custom by not having it.

I know the club are starting to make progress. The new bloke up there Haroon Rashid is making a lot of positive changes in a lot of departments.

And merchandising is one of the key income streams that we are allowed to spend on the salary cap. I would have thought that would have been more of a priority rather than the utility switching bullpower thing.

Think until recently there wasn't much coordination of action in the back office. Communication wasn't the best.

From what I've heard recently that ought to change for the better soon.

I can only assume from what has been released so far that Mellor has the 13 shirt. If true then I'm pleased for him and that is a big vote of confidence from Jimmy. I'm hoping he has a cracking season and many more beyond that in a Bulls shirt. Another home grown talent that we absolutely need to keep hold of.

Precisely my thinking too. Unless a curve ball gets thrown along the lines of Purtell or Mathers getting 7, I can't see anyone else who could play there, so Addy is the logical one.
Unless they've left 7 free and Mathers will be 34 or something like that.

It's interesting because of how you can interpret the situation.
Have we left it blank for a signing we've already made but not announced?
Are we just leaving it empty for a future signing we haven't made yet? (This makes no sense to me, late additions to the squad are normally just allocated the next available number)
Perhaps a current member of the squad has it that will surprise us? Mathers? Purtell? Caprice?!

I can't think of this ever happening before in all the years I've been watching Bradford. So yes, I don't think HC was being unreasonable when he said it was interesting
