| Never looked like winning once Leeds went in front. Seriously lacking in quality.
Effort was obviously there, but what else did you expect after last weeks pathetic effort.
1 in 11 against the Rhinos. SHIT.
Alcohol intake helping.

| Good effort from the team but we are short on quality and I can't see this team doing much despite Potter's claims that they are a work in progress. Our second phase of attack is pretty non existent and our attacking methods are predictable and uninventive.
We never utilise the wingers except for usually poor last desperate act kicks into the in goal area. We will win the odd match here and there but to be honest there aint much improvement from last season.
Heath and Kearney are our most inventive players but we aint got no line breaking forwards who can release the ball in the tackle.Without a quality half back partnership and loose we will always struggle. I'm sure MP knows whats needed and its now the time for the board to chuck some money at bringing some quality into the side. Whitehead, Olbison, Donaldson and Burgess playing at the same time leaves the team exposed through lack of experience and strength as all four are a fair way off top super league quality IMO.

| To be fair the whole game was a forward battle tonight with most of the play up the middle, even Leeds only got the ball out to the wingers on a few occasions.
Our pack stood up very well tonight and even without Scruton and Langley we more than matched the Leeds pack for most of the game.
I agree with us being exposed with too many youngsters on the field but with the injuries we have no other options. The backs are struggling to gel but that was expected, no doubt Herbert will get slated but with three assists tonight I don't think he did much wrong.
It is still work in progress and todays performance was much improved, we now need to push on again and get a result on Monday.

| Quote ="paulwalker71"Vast improvement from last week, but still coming up short in vital areas. Too many daft penalties, lack of creativity at vital moments, and looking knackered in last 10 minutes of both halves
[uSinfield was so confident we weren't going to go the length that he was happy to bang the ball over the dead ball line for a 20 metre restart. That says it all[/u
And, I'm sorry, I'm still really struggling to be optimistic that Herbert is ever going to be the answer as our main playmaker.
Hard not to be fearful about Catalans on Monday.....
'"
From a Leeds POV, we seemed to shut the game down towards the end. Sinfield's kicks dead etc just killing time and allowing us to get set. that comes oon the back of what someone else just said about having more experienced heads compared to the young lads playing for the Bulls ATM.

| Game boiled down to Kearney's kick after Koppy's break. Force a drop out and we are 50:50 for the win. He put it in the air, Keith defused it like he was putting a loser's medal on eBay and the game was gone.

Can't disagree with any of that. Quality Half Backs we don't have! Oh to have a Brad McKay in the Team, a quality ball playing Loose Forward. You can read our plays like a book, we only seem to have 2 and both are drive it up the middle. Where do we go from here? Oh France that's where, god help us. I honestly can't see where our next win will come from and I remember saying that this time last year.
Potter has a lot of work to do, we're not fit and we're not smart!

| Ten nil up, then 16 10 up, then crumbled once again. Lack of creativity, lack of fitness? Who knows? But Catalans away and then Wire at home next up so two more losses. Will be out of the running for the play offs before the Easter eggs have been eaten.
Very disappointed.

| We were better in 60 metres of the pitch, but where it was important - in our 20 and in their 20 they killed us. When we had them in their own 20 they got out of there easily through sheer hard work, They're yardage sets are really effective, and there is always a support runner putting a defender in two minds so that it takes pressure off the man taking the ball up. When they had us in our twenty they defended very well and we made it easy for them by either sending someone in to cart it up alone, or making a mistake.

Spot on analysis IMO, as long as the group continue to improve this year and set themselves up for a real challenge in 2012, I think that's the most we can hope for after the past three years of steady decline

| Just to say that if you keep your hands on Tommy "Gun" burgess, then you will do alright in the forwards for the next few years at least, he looked great out there tonight, for someone to criticise him for his mistake at the end, well then your using him as a scapegoat, the pass was forced and unnecessary.
Cracking game though, looking forward to next Sunday, Bring It On.

I think it will be a close game, fwiw, much like the 2 at your place last year, Brilliant contests and 2 of my favourite from last season, but i HOPE we take the points next week, and that the sun is shining too.

I think it will be a very one sided game, we will score a few. We might even take a lead, but then you will make hay. But bring plenty of fans over for a nice day out - buy lots of beer!

| Bulls played well today, but lacked the belief and you could see that they were always scared of Leeds coming back into the game.
I reckon if we had Langley in the pack today, we could have closed that game out.
Still much improved from the shocking display of last week.

| Let's be honest we could have scripted the way it went. We didn't through the game away, we weren't robbed we are just a) not developed enough as a squad and b) haven't got enough quality players yet to finish off matches like this. It was an improvement and that's the main thing. Hopefully the lads kick on and pick up the two points in France. I expect them to do that.
We will get there IMO.

| We were OK. As were Leeds. Pretty much a contest between too mediocre teams to be honest with very little to inspire either sets of fans! I don't think I've ever heard so many fans from both teams telling their players to get a grip! I also can't remember when I last saw Leeds play such a condensed game rather than getting the ball out to their backs.
We're lacking that killer touch but I see no reason why that won't come. I think you have to look at it in perspective - the Leeds team has been built over a number of years and has players in it such as Sinfield, Burrow and Webb who are regarded as being world class and capable of winning games pretty much on their own; we had a team that was almost completely overhauled in the off season with players who haven't played together or even in SL being put into a team and expected to be able to compete and have and understanding that just does not happen overnight yet we held our own and never looked outclassed. I understand and agree that we seem to lack that creative spark but I think it's more down to the fact that the understanding between the creative player(s) and those who reap the rewards isn't their yet and that makes the difference between a stunning pass or kick that rips the defence apart and a pass that your receiving player wasn't understanding and a knock on. One of the key issues this season has been the handling errors that probably come from trying to think rather than playing on instinct, forcing passes when they're just not on - tonight I thought we looked a lot tighter on that and more able and willing to gring out a set of six and clear the ball rather than trying a hollywood pass in every set.
In the end the experience of the Leeds team beat us rather than us being outplayed. Disappointed with the result but a definate improvement on last week but god help both teams when they play the 'top' teams as I don't think either are at that level at the moment.

| Disappointed in defeat after another great start to a game, as with the Salford game we were the best team for 15/20 mins. We looked shattered towards the end of the first half when Leeds pegged it back. and instead of going in 12-0 up we went in 12-10 up. We came out second half and again we did the same as the first. Leeds kicked up a gear and we were too shattered to follow them and we were caught short on the Right twice (Which is a shame as Platty is normally so solid, can only blame match fitness).
I thought the pack as a whole played well, Elima and Koppy especially with a BIG shout to Burgess, he got nothing but rave reviews from Rhinos fans i went with.
If the news about Kearney is true and he has a broken hand it gives us a chance to work on the Briggs/Herbert combination. Herbert again showed some nice touches and has the potential to kick on to better things.

| Bulls tried the same tactics that beat Cas & it nearly paid off. As Sinfield recognised early on, you have no-one who you expect to go 50m, never mind 100m, especially with Ainscough dropped. Ah Van had his best game I have seen by a mile, Elima starting to look like the attacking force of 2 years ago. Problems at half back, while both decent players they are not your typical HBs. Herbert is a beautiful passer of the ball though.

| Vast imporovement from last week, but once again, were getting ripped appart on the flanks. We always look like were playing with 12 men. We need to learn how to finish a game off, it's killing us. I thought Leeds were poor last night, and we gifted them a couple of easy tries. Ah Van was on fire in the first half, but i thought he was poor in the second half. Gareth Raynor is steady away, but doesnt really do much in attack, we have Shaun Ainscough, who if given the right service is one of the top attackers in Super League and can score from anywhere on the field. Overall i cant really complain as it was 100 times better than the dross we played at Salford. Brett Kearney once again MOM for me.
