Not coming until next season.

Heard from a few different sources, none of them mick, that Leon was lined up to come mid season this year, hence leaving 7 free. Hull had an injury or two and gave back word at last minute. From memory Lowes threw towel in a week or so later.

Chisholm signed until end of 2017. Good signing. Don't think we would have signed Soward. Hull KR were in for him but i think London always had the advantage with him being there before.

Either way, good news for us with Fax and Batley still to play London.

Great news. Where is it mentioned he's in contention for the leigh game? Really hope he is!
Him alongside Keyes or Thomas would be a significant improvement on what we've been used to lately.

When it says signed for 2017 is that irrespective of division were in or is it like Nielsen and mullaney last year, who were signed for this year then released once we didn't make SL and bulk of season tickets had been sold?. Suspect a fair few will wait to get season tickets til last minute to see if they try that stunt again.

Chisholm won't be here in time for Leigh, and Keyes probably won't play either (I'll believe roger on this one - out on dual reg).

Yeah i'd be shocked if Chisholm is here in time for sunday. I'd sooner give Keyes a game alongside and bump Addy back to 13, especially if we're still a bit thin on the ground in the back row.

I'd rather Haggerty at HB than Addy. He utterly and completely broke our attack on Sunday. He's just so so slow at passing. Might be temped to put Moss in there and Clare at FB.

Chisholm put it on his own twitter this morning and people got hold of it pretty quick (he event tagged the Bulls twitter account into the tweet). I'm guessing the club wasn't expecting that so just had to announce it rather than the usual members first e-mail. Good signing though. RS seems to be developing a good spine to the team for next year.

Think that's correct. The club was outflanked by modern media, though why they think, in 2016 that they can hang around until they are ready to make some Grand Announcement I just don't know. They probably assumed it would take at least six weeks for a ship to sail from Sydney with the news....

Still a 12 month deal is the best I think we're likely to get for a player of his level now. Especially given the likelihood of a greatly reduced amount of central funding.

BTW, on that score, am I right in thinking that it's handed out on the basis of where teams finish AFTER the middle 8s? So if we, by some miracle, manage to squeeze into the top 4, then next year might not be such the strain on the purse strings that some fear

Definitely after the middle 8's. We finished bottom and our owner had to dip deeper into his pockets this season.

It's been claimed on t'other forum that this changed this year, and next years funding is determined by positions at end of regular season. Change has certainly been kept quiet if this is the case.
