What are people's thoughts on the current squad stepping up?

I think even with no additions we'd be fairly competitive.

Somebody put on here ages ago that Vila was going to Keighley. He tries hard but I think league 1 is probably his level.

Vila is a decent enough L1 player. If he's going to Keighley I hope they sort their financial problems out.

Hitchcox would be an excellent signing.

RE. Hitchcox, isn't part of his visa that he must play a certain number of games to stay in the country? Even though a higher club may want him, this may be in his thinking.


Isn't it nice we are in an off-season, feeling positive, a decent season overall, feeling positive about the next one, and no off-field drama. When's the last time that happened?

Hitchcox I agree would be great to nail down. We probably need additional strength in the back line though - not sure Oakes and Rickett have had enough time to prove they can step up.

If Hitchcox signs we've got 4 wingers with Ryan, Grant and Foggin-wotsit. Not sure where Rickett fits in either.

I think Oakes still has improvement in him. He did well in the pressure game on Sunday. With Webster and Gibson being 1st choice there's definitely room for him. I'd love to sign Egodo but I think Cas may want him with Webster going and Shenton knocking on.

I think Webster will be brilliant for Ross Oakes. Ross like many others probably played a lot of games before he was quite ready.

I have watched him a few times and it a little unfair to say he knock's on a bit.

I think its fair to say Lee Smith wont be here next year since he seems to have been banished. (Does anyone know what has gone on there) and from what i understand Oaks will be moving on as well.

On that basis id imagine at least 1 centre if not 2 coming in and probably sort or utility option as well.

Err yes, an entirely fair comment, perhaps we can ignore that part although I will admit to having not seen him at h/b.

Decent signing. Looked to always show up well for Fev when i saw them play this year. Good experience of championship too.

I think Oaks is a decent prospect, maybe Kear doesn't rate him?

Im not sure how well he played against you last weekend but i'm led to believe Tyler Dickinson will be with you next season on a season long loan.

Oakes definitely signed a 2 year deal. I’d be disappointed to see him go, I think he has real potential.

Been partnering Thackeray in the halves for Fev quite a bit this season while Ridyard has been injured.

Also the article states that Graham Lowe is no longer involved with the club as well. Kept that one quiet.
