It's time to give Ainscough and Addy a run in the team, while Sykes still stays in the 17 because he can move to centre and Walker to Second Row allowing Elima and Whitehead the chance to take a welcome breather while Raynor and Sibbit miss out - Re: Sibbit, I'm trying to get my head around at just how poor Sibbit has been in the last two games, after he had a great pre-season so I think a rest is needed this week.

probably not best idea to pair two who are suspect in defense on same side. problem being all our wingers are a little suspect on defensive side. makes it diificult to play ah van at as we dont have a strong defensive wing to pair him with. at least when hes on wing we can pair him with a strong defensive .

Having Walker and Platt start in the centres doesn't exactly excite me, both defensive players. Walker would be better used coming off the bench in the second row but we aren't short of second rowers are we? We're crying out for a game winning centre as well as an impact prop.

How do you know that ?.

I would include olbison in the squad for this saturday. I was very impressed with his enthusiasm and work rate.

Best player behind Kearney on Sunday IMO and given more game time he'll be massive for the club.

Southerwood will never be ready IMO. I dont think he'll make it from what Ive seen so far. Although to give him some credit he played well in the 2nd half against Dews. Might make a good Championship player.

Well, quite a few threads on here we're filled with people wracking their brains and coming up with nobody. Yeah OK, you could argue that 'anyone has their price' - or you could buy some no-name from Championship One.

But, seriously, who is/was there who could improve what we already have?

I needs to see more of & more from Ah Van before I am convinced he is the answer to your wing problem on one side. He can kick, granted.

That's the impression I am getting too. He was not ready last season, understandable as he was signed as a big one for the future, but he has had an entire pre-season with us now, so how come he is still not ready?
What about the adage, if you are good enough, you are old enough?

A bit harsh I think. Cain is only 18 years old. Thats incredibly young for a half back, they are naturally smaller than other players and take a while to develop physically. Look at Sam Tomkins, he's an exceptional talent, and he wasn't playing in Wigans first team at Cains age.

southernwood is not good enough at the minute to be playing that doesnt mean he will never be good enough....he is 18 years old give him a break...2 more years and then you can comment on his ability to play the toughest game in the world!!

I don't massively see why some people don't want Raynor in the side. Everytime he had the ball against Wigan he looked like he may cause some damage. He runs very very strongly and has some pace. He made a couple of mistakes and has been found wanting in defense (positionally) but that is something Potter should be sorting out really. Kearney needs to play one position this week aswell. Give royston his chance at full back and give ainscough a run out. Diskin starting for me too and see how he runs.

Even after just putting that team down I am wanting to change it. I really wanted to see kearney play full back all season. Cannot wait for briggs to come back
