| Quote ="Bulls4"Yes agree very telling that they expect it not to be smooth sailing with games potentially off. That combined with the streaming of games makes me think supporters won’t be back in stadiums in tile for the season to start. Could we get to mid season before getting in?
On another point, would we need a safety certificate for odsal if no supporters are allowed in to watch due to Covid? If the pitch and team areas are spruced up is that enough to allow games to take place without supporters?'"
from sounds of works being proposed by stockcars to track, reinstating safety barrier and regrading the track surface, would imagine pitch wont be in a useable state until mid March/April when we're due to go back. Doesn't seem much point playing in a building site when no fans allowed, other than saving rent on Dewsbury. Presumably we wont start paying rent again on Odsal until we move back so might as well stay at Dewsbury until Fans allowed back.

| Rumour has it we’ve got Ukuma Taai. Certainly strengthens our pack. Not seen much of him recently though to be fair.

Seen some highlights from this 2020 and 2019 certainly looks solid enough, also there is a Taai thread is there any truth in the Olbison rumour or is that total wishful thinking, apparently according to the same person who put up Taai rumour on Twitter we have a championship centre on our radar too... don’t know who is available

| Wonder if the club are planning to release a streaming season ticket option, What with COVID and stadium uncertainty a regular season ticket isn’t appealing to the more casual fan. I might be persuaded to sign up for a streaming subscription though if they price it right?

| Surely a London centre must be available after signing two recently. Hasn’t Hankinson and that Lebanese fella signed for them?

All championship clubs have agreed that ST holders can live stream any games played behind closed doors as part of their package. All games will be via the RFL Our League App.
Games are going to be apparently also available on a pay by game basis.

Yeh I’d seen that, I was meaning an actual streaming only subscription . I wouldn’t be looking to pay 200 quid for that obviously.
I can’t commit to every home game even without COVID-19 so it makes little sense for me, perhaps the pay as you go option will have to be the way, just thought they might prefer some commitment upfront.

I think they only have permission to stream whilst restrictions are in place. I seem to remember us being allowed for the year we were in League 1 but it being stopped after promotion because of the contract in place with Sky?
The way its look at the moment, you may be able to pay on a game by game basis for some time as it looks like stronger restrictions will be in place again.

| If the Championship clubs are to receive precious little from the new Sky deal then surely the rights to Championship games are excluded from any agreement. But then again....

| So you can consult your gp online but you cannot stream your clubs game? Covid has changed a lot of delivery models, Sky could do that too and come to some arrangement with clubs, even if a royalty percentage plus copyright so they could put highlights programmes together. I will go for the pay as you go stream, so i hope that we remain locked down for the whole season. For the future a live/stream season ticket would be brilliant for me, because LIVE IS BEST but i would only get to a few live games.
Good to see that most of the usual RABble suspects are still alive and kicking. And a decent squad for whatever next season turns out to be. I cannot wait to see a live game.

I think it is correct as Sky own the rights.
Although it’s a poor show when Sky have said they aren’t interested in showing the championship and we soon won’t be getting any TV money from the sky deal.
The championship and L1 rights need to be sold separately to somebody else or give clubs the right to stream their owns games and charge. It might be tough to find another buyer but currently to get zero coverage and soon we will get zero funding. Anything would be an improvement on zero.
Can’t be hard to beat the typical RL deals. Sponsorship in exchange for a few free pizzas or some advertising on the side of a lorry.

I am in the same boat and would love the chance to have a stream season ticket.
Would also do the per per stream too if reasonable enough..... £5 per game?
Could be a way to generate extra revenue regardless of Covid-19....

I would probably still go for that, but given the respective admission prices (I am guessing City is more!?), is a tenner too much? Would it be too much for people (given the pay per view uproar for the Premier League games recently)?

There's 2 of us and we don't do every game. Obviously it's difficult with covid but it's been well worth it.
Having said that when theyre playing OK and winning now and again it's cheap and when they're as bad as they have been tuppence is too dear.

| To be fair a tenner is good especially if you’re in a household where 2 or more of you attend the Bulls. Whole house could watch it for a tenner. Still a lot cheaper to watch too, especially considering the savings you’d have from not buying food and drink that you normally would when attending.

| It doesn't sound sustainable to me. I know the overheads from opening the ground to spectators may be lower but I can't see anyone pulling in enough cash from streaming to make it viable.

| Single camera, almost no editing apart from goals using Radio Leeds commentary. City took 60k in December on top of season ticket income. ST holders get it for free.
Presumably this net of ifollow costs but I don't know for sure.

No, neither can I to be honest.
It's impossible to even try to guess just what the finances of running Odsal will be, though we were told it was totally unsustainable just over 12 months back and I really don't have a clue just how much the stocks/speedway input will add to the overall position.
As for the streaming service, I've only seen a couple of games from previous seasons and the quality from ourleague was actually pretty good, obviously not as good as being there, but it is what it is for the forseeable. I'm not really one to be too pessimistic but I'm coming to the conclusion that we'll probably see more games streamed than at the ground. Even when fans are allowed I can't see it being, in any way, 'normal'.

| They usually video the game with copies for both Team Coachs and of course the RFL Disciplinary Committee and also the Refs Management. If live streaming is not a viable option a replay on the Bulls Tv should be doable.

| I remember someone saying we are lining up a championship centre and I see Menzie Yere isn't at Sheffield anymore. I know he's getting on abit but he's always played well against us and would be awesome inside any of our wingers

| The problem I see with streaming is that you really need to tie in the customer with a package so the money is guaranteed. If it is per game people will gett out of the habbit of going to games and then they will also get into the habbit of not paying for a game and then all of a sudden you have lost them completely. Once they decide not to pay for a game and that game turned out to be a poor one they think twice about paying again. A season ticket streaming price would be better all round.
