| From League Express
A convoy of Bulls Officals will accompany a group of Councillors and other Bradford Citizens this wednesday on a visit to Leigh Centurions new hom at the Leigh Sporting Village.
Peter Hood Explains, "leigh now has a superb Facility and Bradfords Elected members and the Council officers are going to see that the formula does work. I recently met with Braford Councils Executive and i think there is goodwill towards the Odsal Project from every point on the political spectrum, essentially becasue the Odsal Project is about much more than the Bulls. It is about Social Cohesion and it will form part of the glue that sticks the city of Bradford Together"

Keighley is like an item that sticks for a while then eventually starts to come away and you have to push it back on again, wait awhile and restart the process again!

I read this too, and it is flattering to think that a SL club is interested in looking at our superb new Stadium/training facilities, that are tied into the concept of a 'Sports Village'
I was however, horrified to see the quote in League Express, along the lines that 'the LSV stadium/facilities tick all the boxes necessary for a successful SL license application.' Nobody told Richard Lewis or his colleagues about this! On North West TV, he said that Celtic Crusaders stadium and facilities were better than Leigh's new ones and that ours are 'not proven' yet! (the training facilities have been good enough for Warrington to use, and Saints and Catalans are considering using them next season)
My advice to you guys is - don't associate yourselves with anything Leigh (allegedly) has, or you may incur the wrath of Mr. Lewis and his mates! Meanwhile, enjoy the visit, and I hope we get the chance to see you at the LSV next season - provding it is proven to exist, of course!

Realise that WB - I was attempting irony! We had less going for us than Salford & Widnes, but more than CC. (as you'll see when you visit (New) South Wales.) If they'd only said they wanted expansion outside the hearlands, that would be fine, but, as usual, they (RFL) have to go about things deviously!
Anyway, look forward to seeing you at the LSV, when Mr. Whelan says he needs the JJB, for a 'roundball' match. (irony again, by the way)

Oops! Had heard that they would consider moving 'lesser' games from the JJB - i.e. cup-ties against NL opposition.

Yeah but that announcement is just that they've managed to secure a comprehensive review.

| I left Bradford in 1967, and was aregular at Odsal from 1944, and all the time we were promised a new ground development, and of course we were going to be the Wembley of the North. Sadly when I look round the ground I can see much that has not changed since'44'
Now living in S Wales which is supposed to be a deprived area, I see new sporting facilities being erected on a regular basis. At the moment both Llanelli and Cardiff City are having new stadiums built, and already it would appear that Bridgend will shortly see new development.
None of these places has the same size population has Bradford, so why on earth does Bradford, irrespective of political persuasion vote for councils that apparently can do nothing for the city?

| If the Council just keep Talking the Talk. Will you still follow the Bulls when they decide to Walk the Walk and depart from Odsal??
According to Peter Hood "if there are no bulldozers shifting earth at Odsal in 2010" that probably will happen

Depends where they walk to! If the franchise re-appears in the south of France I'm not sure I'll be a regular at home games!

| I'm sure there are areas just outside the Bradford boundries that would be suitable for a valid franchise.
Which ever way you look at it, it's looking increasingly likely

As in moving to Valley Parade or moving out of town? As far as i recall the last time Hood was questioned about moving to VP he said it was a non starter, so would the Bulls leave Bradford? And if so, where would they go?

| When I spoke to him, he said there was 'Plan B, C, and D' already in place should the OSV not come off. He wouldn;t be drawn as to what they were/are.

Come come. Everyone knows that Bradford do not have a Plan "B", never mind a C or a D.
Stop getting our hopes up Andrew.

It’s pleasing there are contingencies in place.
Part of me thinks longer term stability lies away from Odsal

I agree. Re-development of the stadium seems to be a none starter and always has been.

| Given that I have seen no evidence in all the years I've watched the Bulls/Northern that the Council consider us to be much of an asset, I'd like to think the club might have sounded out the surrounding Local Authorities about how supportive they might be in hosting the Bulls franchise. We'd only have to pop halfway down the M606 to get into Kirklees and still retain much of our catchment area/transport links.
