. Selling players we need to be building around seems madness to me but maybe a case of needs must.

Not entirely sure what the club can do about contracting players while in "special measures" or indeed what we need to do to move out of "special measures"

However lets assume selling the family silver is being considered by the club, presumably they are looking to generate £xxx pounds by the exercise. maybe rather than breaking up what looks like the basis of a homegrown competitive team they should just say to the fans - thanks for the pledge effort for keeping the club afloat - now if you want to keep the young stars we need the £xxx.

If everyone involved is serious about taking the club forward you don't need a special review to know that its a whole lot easier if your have a competitive team

They can't order anyone to agree a contract as well you know. They can listen to offers and ask him to meet with prospective purchasers though, which is my understanding of situation. Player always has option of refusing personal terms and seeing out his existing deal which I'd hope our youth products would do.

They said there would be no more communication until the review was complete, they've just kept their word on that, so I can't the silence having any effect at all.

We should get the update sometime soon, if they keep to the announced timescale.
