Menzies is the one to watch, I would have a man to man marking him in some way just to keep him out of the game but to be truthful not sure if we have anybody that could do it, will just have to rely on your crap defense and hope we score more than you

I thought that he was possibly our best too on Friday, as much as anything for how he just slotted in everywhere and some smart actions - although several like Cook Halley Jeffries and Sykes when at SO ran him close. I can see Beaver becoming increasingly influential in the side as both he and the rest of the side become more familiar with each other - earlier games how many times have we seen him looking for support which was not there? Getting less so now it appeared to me anyway.

I get the feeling that this is slightly, just slightly, biased towards Wakefield.

And don't get me started on rating Martin above Menzies. I'm not saying Martin isn't a good player because I quite rate him but do to do that over Menzies is crazy.

tbf its always hard for regular fans to gage the opposition , 2 days before round 1 i would be shocked to think of tony martin as the dominant player but seeing him this season i can categorically say he has every chance .
however not seeing too much of the bulls this season my judgment may be clouded , as may yours .
all we have to go on is the league table.

In the past when we've played the likes of Bradford, Leeds, Wigan and St Helens, i always think 'Wish i could watch him play in a Trinity shirt', but i can honestly say with possibly the exception of Burgess who is well out of sorts i wouldn't take any of you're players.

Some of your fans are still living in the past, you aren't the team you use to be. Gone are the glory days, you're just the same as the rest of the teams from 3rd - 12th. Very capable of beating of us but also just as likely to lose.

Who knows how it will pan out, no one can take games for granted this season or we may well come unstuck.

Heard Menzies is in good form from Bradford fans at work but not realy seen too much of him, have to say with my rose tinted on, that Brad drew will run the show and win us the game, but hey i've been wrong many times.

Lets hope for good weather and clean game and the best team to win without the refs help.

Burgess is a better player

, but for what JD does for our team he would have to go infront of burgess in that posistion. For any other team i wouldnt hesitate in putting burgess infront of JD

Lets face it you havent had a lot to laugh about this season have you so its understandable. I think most of your fans would settle for a win and those what are hard to please at best a thrashing. It is only a game you know

You don't think Andy Lynch would get in your team ahead of Wilkes, Snitch, Bibey, Sculthorpe or Moore?

I'd rather have Wilkes, Moore and Stosic. Snitch plays second row and Sculthorpe does a job from the bench. I like how Bibb is coming along and our forwards are working really well as a unit. I don't imagine with a fully fit side that Bibey would play, but to be fair he has done a job when he's played.

Even with the injuries we've suffered our forwards are still playing superbly and Wilkes in particular with Stosic before his injury we're outstanding. Lynch is a good player but i can't say i'd be bothered if we signed him or not as i'm happy with what we've got.

I suggest that, notwithstanding how absurd or otherwise some of these comparisons might appear to some to be, it might be prudent to keep our powder dry till after the match? I've learnt from long experience that these sort of things have a nasty habit of coming back and biting you.

Of course it's subjective, some of the cloth heads on here probably won't of seen half the players they are dismissing play and have absolutely no idea what they are on about.

I'd take any number of Bradford players - what stuns me is that some on here want to laugh at it the other way around. Which is odd when you consider that 3 of your best Jeffries, Tadulala and Solomona came from errr who was it now and a fourth Halley has come back to you from err who was it now twice the palyer he was.
