Great evening. For once, I've come out of one of these Bulls events not feeling that some facts have been fudged.

Marc Green IS running the club as a business. He was very bottom line about everything. Just under £2.8 million is what the club needs to break even and I feel confident that under his stewardship, we'll not only break even but will push forward towards profitability.

Quite a shock that the council pocket the Richard Dunn parking money while the club pay for the road closure. I always thought the club got a cut. However, I guess it goes back to when the council was the one footing the bill for the upkeep of the stadium.

But anyway, some excellent work by all involved at the Bulls. Special mention for Steve Ferres and his work for our recruitment which is top draw

My understanding was that the aim is 4k members, not 4k gates. I was at the back though, might have misunderstood.

Can anyone tell me how you turn a lottery pulling in £13000 a week into a lottery pulling in under £600 a month? Not only that, but how you can do it so fast the the guy who set it up initially when he retired from his day job is both alive and looks the bloody same when he comes back to set up the replacement?

That just seems to be another part of the club that's been horribly mis-managed

Marc didn't expand on how he's going to make Odsal more profitable but with his graphic of 67.5 hours rugby played there per year and 8400 hours availability, there's lots of time to be filled. Just need to fill it. I assume there are plans being made for that to happen.

1000 cars per home game park at Richard Dunne - thats about £40k per season into council purse rather than ours. He didn't say how he will expand parking at Odsal to accomodate those 1000cars, but he must be planning it.

It will be a bit harder this time though. We're no longer the Super Bulls, pin up boys of SL, so I guess sales will have to be a bit more local. Also IIRC, at the time sales were at their peak didn't we have a number of other clubs involved in our lottery? I'm pretty sure Keighley were one, along with Dewsbury et al.

One of the factors was increasing the price from £1 per week, to £2 per week. That was a huge mistake.

Yeah, I wondered about that. Though perfectly true, it seemed a bit of a strange thing to say since there is no, sufficiently large, 'club' alternative to using the Dunn's carpark. Even if there were, access and in particular egress after the game, would be a big problem given the current single stadium access road from /into Cleckheaton Rd.

I suppose it was done on the back of the national lottery putting the price up to £2, but it clearly didn't work.
