Fev got their tails up and looked good and we just couldn't live with them. Top 4 for them again this year.

Need to get Ryan back on wing as Macani there is just unbearable (although god knows how the ref came up with a knock-on when he was clearly taken in the air for their 4th try) Caro wasn't much better positionally. And frustrates the life in me not taking the man on down the wing.

Yep, Fev were good. Halifax need to have a look at them and see what a top 4 side looks like.
But once again, we really didn't help ourselves. Too many errors and too many penalties to put ourselves under pressure. And Fev made us pay every time. But with a make shift team like we had today then we really had no chance. Well done for keeping going and winning the second half.

Thought it would be way closer than that. Bodes well for the rest of our season that with 5 or 6 first choice missing, we can still turn in a decent performance.

Who writes the reports on the official website? Whoever does wasn't at the game. Or they've been told "write it like it wasn't actually that bad so that people still turn up next time".

The first half was truly garbage. Worse than I've seen Bradford play in a long time. And we've played a lot of bad games. No idea in attack, some p*ss poor defending, loads of errors. Coughing up in front of our own line on the first set was unforgivable. Yet the website report talks about it like it was spirited. I still think the only reason we fronted up more in the second half was because Fev took the foot off the gas knowing they'd played 120 minutes in 4 days and had the game won already.

Well it was everything I expected it to be, fair play to anyone who went along to watch the inevitable.

Can only hope it was an eye opener to the owners, although they're supposedly experienced RL people so you'd think they could see what we have already seen this year?

Sounds like Beattie is also wanting some recruits, I can't imagine him standing for seeing these young lads thrown to the lions each week.

Are you really judging Fax on a Bradford performance 3 days after their cup final? Fev lost at home to Rochdale, were people judging us after that as well?



The facts are that Bradford's young squad were always going to struggle to back up a few days after having our pack run over them. Fax did not have the luxury of having a big squad and did it tough Friday losing 2 players during the game, we struggled last night but had enough in the tank to scrape to another win. Fev have a very good squad, I have no idea if they rotated last night but they should finish in the top 4 as along with Toulouse they seem pretty consistent.

All that said I will take where we are compared to where Bradford are any day of the week.

Cup final? Ours? Really? It was certainly a cup final for one of the teams out there on Friday. One of them has always been a bit more bothered about it than the other...

I'm not going to comment on the game it's self, however I thought that the bulls support was great yesterday you did your club and the sport in general a great service (for want of a better term). I thought the ironic "last post" played at the end of the 1st half a day the "we can see you sneaking out" at the end of the 2nd half just shows that you still have a lot of humour even with everything that has gone on at the club. Stick at it because you'll see better days, am sure.

I will admit it used to have a novelty about it but now its similar to playing say Swinton or Dewsbury, to be fair to Bradford I thought they raised their efforts on Friday and it looks like they paid the price for it yesterday. I really do hope your club gets its act together because as much as I like games that you turn up for thinking its going to be 2 points there is something to be said for games where you are unsure who the winner is going to be.

As a fan of neither team last Friday I have seen posts from Bradford fans who feel the game was quite close?

Halifax outplayed Bradford in all areas and the bulls could not have complained if the score read Bradford 6 Halifax 36. For example.

Not been to Odsal for a lot of years not much has changed except the large gaps in the stands. Pick and mix was average too.

Halifax's first up forwards were largely better and i suspect they won't have such a faultless handling match again this year. The real damage though was that Scott Murrell's kicking was faultless both long and short. Halifax's backs were very poor given the positions they were given, but equally Bradoford's 3/4 defence was good. 6-36 wouldn't have been an unfair scoreline, but Bradford certainly weren't outplayed in [iall[/i areas.

I'm not sure of your point. The score could also have been a lot closer. Or even a Bradford win, had they managed to not conspire to f**k up every chance they had. Halifax were the better side, no dispute there from anyone but the really were not that good. We were very poor. We have played much better than that this season.

And the pick and mix? Surely you chose them...

The choice of sweets were not great. They would have been better having bags of sweets.

I think Bradford were lucky to score at all. My point is Bradford were crap on the night but reading this board you wouldn't know it.

Not bothered responding on this thread as the Halifax game has been and gone and couldn't care less about it now but i have to respond to this point. EVERY single Bradford fan has said we played crap. Not one has said we played well. We were crap. Fax were average. Both teams can play better. Fax were better on the night and deserved the win. Move on!

Pay the extra few quid to go into the stand and there's a sweet van behind there that sells bags of sweets. They just don't stray into the "lesser" areas of the ground

Going against the grain and trying to take this thread back on topic, our kick-offs infuriated me. It might sound like nit-picking but Keyes might as well have passed the ball to Fev. It wasn't going any higher than the crossar and Fev were catching it on the 20m line, making 10/15m from the first tackle and starting their set of 6 5m off the halfway. Get it banged in air and nail them early.
