Well, as 3rd and 4th spots are still up for grabs it's quite worrying that we might be heading into the middle 8's against 3 other teams who've beat us already this season. True, beating them in the middle 8 comp would be a more important win in the league, but still

you would hope that the team can motivate itself in the 8s, as it has not done this last few weeks, to play 80 minutes and to the game plan . We have also won games against Fax and feathers, and threw a game away against Leigh. So getting the half backs into some semblance of shape is pretty important

Right now, I'll settle for getting the halfbacks back.......... We've less than three weeks and counting before the main season starts.

Leigh have beaten Wakey and Salford already whilst we have lost to Hull K R as well as Fev, Sheffield and Leigh. On that basis I suggest it's not worth turning up.

Leigh have already proved that they can. Bulls we don't know. I thought we played well against Hull KR but didn't out together an 80 minute performance. Not sure we have yet tbh. We'll just have to wait and see.

Leigh will be going up for sure. They are fully confident too.

I disagree, I don't think anyone will be switching leagues come the end of the season.

I think Leigh will be with us in CH and it will come down to a dodgy on field decison

Leigh and Bradford have contributed well to the Championship and have been a level of ambition for other Championship teams. Over confidence into the M8's can find a team in turmoil if it comes crashing down.

RL is an ego based sport and as a win can pick a team and player up, equally a teams confidence can fall of a cliff very quickly. I don't know if anyone else has noticed but the players seem to have been stagnating. Realistically this weeks match is important for confidence. Win Lose or Draw is the nature of sport and the euphoria or disappointment is part of it all. I might be dubbed OLD FASH but I wish Nobby was on the books this week for consultancy ....

I honestly thought at the start of the season that no team would be promoted, but now I feel with the confidence and momentum we have, especially if we win our remaining 3 games, then a lot could depend on the order of the fixtures for us and if ours are….

Wakefield home …Tough game could go either way but winnable
Fax away…..Any team wanting to play SL must win this game
Sheffield home…As Fax
Salford away……if we win the 3 above this will seem a home game therefore winnable
Widnes home…As Wakey but we do seem to have a hoodoo over them
HKR away…would put this down as our most difficult and a possible loss but if we are still riding on the crest of the wave, you never know
Bulls home….it’ll all depend on how we’ve both gone on in the previous games, for us it may not matter.








That said and you may find this surprising I have been wrong before

I think Widnes and Wakey will be in the Championship next year. I'm not sure who will replace them in SL but I doubt either will last more than 1 year.

on this years performance so far we may finish just outside the promotion slot, unless we get our games together then i we will be up.

I don't think Lowes will be too concerned about us flying under the radar. Effectively we are in pre-season now and it would be useful to have a high intensity workout against Halifax with nothing held back, followed by 2 weeks of the right balance of training and rest. The majority of our players have good experience of playing at SL level and this will be invaluable.It looks like Kelly is joining Campese on the sidelines for a few weeks........ that must weaken the team I considered most likely to cause us problems.

Wakey's poor season is now working for them. The pressure is off for the time being, they can use the last couple of matches as training sessions, make sure the players are fit and fresh for the Middle 8's. Their chances have improved considerably in recent weeks.

all right, I do know who will replace them. You guessed right.

They've signed Dane Chisholm on loan from Canterbury Bulldogs for the remainder of the season.

Only Leigh will come up if any at all. Looking at the Sheffield highlights you where very poor and Leigh also think your e too.

If only Leigh get promoted then we will see Widnes in the Championship next year. Looking forward to it.

Obviously you dont watch Superleague as Wakefield are still poor. So that leaves it to all Superleague teams staying up. Widnes are far superior to Bradford.

If Leigh are going up someone else has to come down. Will Widnes be leading the Championship nextyear as they will be far superior.
Maybe the lesser salary cap will make them a little less superior.

Widnes will be in Superleague you numpty. Wakefield will be going down as got players and the honeymoon period over with the new coach.
