| Bit of a reminder that we are still very much in a dogfight for survival. I think a small amount of complacency was creeping in that the deficit would be wiped in this clump of fixtures before Easter. We will have to fight hard for wins and it sounds as though Oldham wanted it more this week. Mistakes aplenty again and that is something that has plagued us all year, probably in part due to inexperience. Tough Easter period looming, next week at home is a huge game once again.
Praying that none of the loan players are recalled.

| No Larroyer today? Having Thomas, Pryce and hopefully Larroyer next week will be a huge boost!

| I agree with Bully Boxer, sounds like a game that we kinda expected to win and just didn't get into the arm wrestle with a motivated Oldham.
With our small squad and relative inexperience these sort of blips are going to happen. Keep the faith guys - hopefully some reinforcements soon, and let's bounce back and give a Sheffield a beating next week!

| We need players very rapid..
We were poor in first half against batley and shocking against Dewsbury first half last week..
We were lucky to walk away intact I'm both games..
There is nobody available woulnt cut it as hull kr are strengthening freely enough..
No good playing in a jazzy new kit without the playing staff (And coaching!) To perform, turning $hite performances out.
A massive loss today in terms of survival.

| Just got back. Few thoughts.
1. We badly lacked Pryce. Lilley inparticular chose a few wrong options.
2. Errors. It is becoming a joke. As Northus said every time we scored we dropped the ball. It is a complete lack of concentration and respect for possession. Maybe fining them will sort it. Its not good enough and no longer a case of "everyone makes mistakes"
3. Macani. See his own thread. Bottleless.
So frustrating and with Sheffield finding a bit of form we need a big performance next week.

| Poor today, why we kept going right when our success happened on the left was odd, it kept Keyes quiet and he was creating a fair bit - we missed experience today and panicked too often.
The ref had a shocker, but there was still enough on the park from Bradford to have won that easily enough. If we respect the ball and stretch the field with quicker passing we can beat the bottom half of this league without being amazing - our full time fitness should prevail more than it is doing too.
Fair play Oldham they stuck at it and their tactics rattled us and they were allowed to get away with it - Sam Gee refereed the last twenty minutes beautifully!

| I can only comment from what i heard on the radio. Everyone is going on about needing singings and getting reinforcements i disagree the team need to get rid of these handling errors that have defiantly cost us the game also the need to sharpen up mentally and concentrate more on what is going on. The people we have at the moment are more than capable of getting us out of the S^%$T its just they are not handling the pressure of now only being 4 points from 0 top advice start handling the pressure and we WILL stay up.

| Well what a case of after the lord mayors show.
A very flat performance punctuated by silly errors, poor tackling and a lack of creativity.
Oldham were well up for this game and played the narrow pitch to their advantage.
Yes the ref was crap but so were we.
We are much better than this performance and i would hope for a massive response next week.

| Agree with Zapperbull cut out the errors and we have enough to stay up and climb the table. However Zapperbull that is with the current loanees. Take them out of the team and we look like a very very poor side indeed.
Ride out Easter. Hopefully eradicate the -4 and look at some recruits at the back end of the year. Hopefully by then we are on positive points in the league and a couple of places higher which make us a more attractive choice for players!

| That was one of the problems. We were short on forwards anyway and i don't think he came back in the 2nd half. The longer the game went on, the more pressure we were under up front

He certainly looked a little groggy as he left the field, but he walked off.

| We were pathetic yesterday. Our forward line was a revolving door and they made metres far too easily from it. Errors cost us again. I'm a bit downhearted after this because I can't see an 'easy' 2 points for ages. Our run in is ridiculous over the next few weeks: Sheffield, Fax, Fev, Toulouse, Sheffield, London, KR (or summert like that). Can't see us picking up too many points from those fixtures without reinforcements in the forwards.

| The number of handling errors was ridiculous; thats just basic stuff that we should be getting right by now.
The weather was fine, the pitch was ok (despite the slope), the ref could have been better but the loss was simply down to the players.
That game was a big wake up call - We can beat (in one half anyway) the team that everyone else has beaten so far but that doesnt make us invincible, we had to go out and put the effort in against Oldham and we didnt.
Take nothing away from Oldham - they bossed the game, and deserved the win.

| Seems we’ve got a couple of things to sort out at the moment on the field. We’re making too many errors and we’re getting outmuscled up front. In every game we’ve made unforced errors and this has cost us. Recent examples of errors costing us being away at London, at home in the cup vs Fev and now yesterday at Oldham. If you don’t put any pressure on the opposition you’ll not score enough points and they’ll win the energy battle as it proved yesterday.
Losing Murray was a blow yesterday as it was his second stint versus Dewsbury that helped break the game open for us. Magrin wasn’t 100% and Roche got a knock early on. That left us massively short up front what with already losing Peltier to injury and Oledzki back to Leeds. Kirk is willing enough but a long way from being the finished article. Add to that Larroyer being missing and the cards were really stacked against us.
I hope some of these injuries aren’t too bad or we’ll be looking at -4 for some time yet.

That would explain why he was walking funny when he left the pitch.
At least with all the sand on the field, he could have buried any mess he made.

| They'd clearly had some kind of desert storm which left the field looking more like a beach.
