One of the best young lads to come out of the Bradford system. Has achieved so much in the sport at the top level and even beat the Aussies in their own back yard. From the 'knock on' in the 1999 Grand Final to the juggle, regather, try in the 2005 Grand Final you have given us many good memories!!

Would have been a fantastic signing this season playing with the team Rohan Smith assembled. With his desire to win at all costs and leadership.

It is down to the work he put in through the off season which kept a group of lads together to play for the Bulls and for keeping our club alive he has my utmost respect however with the decimation of the club and squad unfortunately Leon's body language (stood on his own) and attitude have been more hindrance than help in recent weeks and I am saddened that a great of the game has retired but I am also glad he has chosen the right time. Cheers for the memories. And good luck in whatever you chose to do next. Hope to see you as a coach one day!

Agreed. He started out brilliantly IMO exactly what we had been missing. But as the team was getting steam rolled, his body just wasnt up to it. As you said, the team would have been literally nothing if it wasn't for Leon IMO. Hope we can keep him on the coaching staff.

Think its right time for him to go. Heart was willing but body clearly was struggling. Also explains why Chisholm didn't mention him when he was talking about leaders in today's t&a article.Hopefully this frees up some funds for some extra bodies too.

Amazing career, was proving his worth when our forwards were getting on top in games at start of the season. Shame it has come to the end like this but it takes nothing away from a superb trophy laden career. All the best on the next chapter Leon, hopefully you will stay in the game

It's difficult to have anything but respect for Prycey. It's not the ideal way for him to bow out, but he is Bradford through and through and stuck with is at a bad time. Good luck for the future Leon and I hope you are down at the club supporting the lads and sharing your experience.

I think when I look back on Leon's career and all he did for this club, I'll probably just erase this season from memory and pretend it never happened.

I'd assume that as a definite but I'd have thought remainder of Leon's salary for year would be a fair bit more than 10k or so we've had to pay Sheffield.

On the field yes but can't underestimate his influence in keeping the squad together throughout the adversity. Wonder how many of the squad would be elsewhere without his efforts?

It was disappointing that a section of our support would boo such a great player who has been struggling all season with his knees, but retirement is the right decision and I'm sure he leaves with the best wishes of all the fans - even the ones who chose to vent their frustration at the team's performance by booing him personally, in fact I doubt it ever was really personal.

Get your knees sorted Leon and get on with the rest of your life - I'm certain there are many roles you can still play in RL.

They already had budgeted for chisholms salary while Pryce was on payroll as well, in fact sheffs delaying tactics have saved club six weeeks worth of chisholms salary too.

Leon has earned a place as a legend at the club.

It was a disgrace some sections booing him when he came off, but not by any means the majority, and with hindisght he was clearly failing by trying to play on when it was the case that he was physically shot.

It is a brave decision by him as the last thing we need against KR is anyone struggling physically so I think Leon has taken one for the team. He could have eked the season out but that's not him

Absolute legend, you could see behind the line when London had scored he was done. Been an absolute pleasure watching you mate and you've given Bulls supporters more pleasure than you could ever have known.

Can't bring myself to watch old games at the moment - hurts to see how good we were, along with how much more interesting and superior the game was generally back then.

Anyone who was there will remember the tactic. The "get Leon to put snow on it and have the biggest bloke nearby run straight at the fullback to make him cack his pants" technique worked a treat.
