Mick, you have given the impression,to the chairman of Leigh Centurions, that Mick Hogan is a CEO at Newcastle Knights in Australia.
Mick Hogan is in the north east of England,at Kingston Park.

Mick Hogan was a friend of mine in my youth, a really nice lad with a good family & was always sports mad, much like me but far more intelligent.
I remember he introduced me to NFL Football & he played some amateur American Football when there was a bit of a scene back in the 80's, he also had a great arm for a quarterback.
Mick wasn't a great RL player or football player, he was good enough at schoolboy level but then he was more a Jack of all trades, he was a very good basketball player though & should've been at around 6 '3 or 6 '4 & was pretty nifty with a golf club or cricket bat too.
Not at all surprised that Mick went on to be successful, he is an intelligent & driven fella. Great to see he is doing well.

| Great result Bulls 80 - 0, at any level that takes some doing & is a true reflection of an utterly dominant performance.
Well done.

I'll echo your sentiments and for the record Mick will not allow the Koukash pantomime to dictate rugby matters at Newcastle.
If Koukash wants to invest he'll be doing so as a silent partner and yes, I'm talking about the Newcastle Falcons/Thunder not the Knights as people keep assuming.

| All I can say for Sheffield is that they must not let RFL talk them into administration as a way out of their problems or a method of switching owner (similar as they did with us). This would leave them with a relegation and I'm sure the RFL are looking for another promotion spot after Toulouse blew it.

Toulouse still have another shot, so they'll probably still come up.

| I really hope Sheffield can manage to stay afloat, and stay full time next season. Also hope Toulouse can manage to get promoted also.
The more full time sides we have in the Championship the stronger the comp and game will be on the whole.

Sorry it was nothing to do with RFL, HMRC were going to wind the club up, Green put it into administration to prevent that

Sheffield won't be full time next season. The "prospective buyer" that they're in advanced talks with has already said he's taking them back part time. If that fell through, they'll either go bust or just manage on a small part time budget. Full Time is pretty much out of the question entirely.

Didn't realise that. How does P&R work at that level. It might be useful to know for next season.

Top 2 teams after Super 8s have a one off game for Promotion. That was Rochdale beating Toulouse this past weekend, so Rochdale go up.
Losing team drops into a 4-way playoff with 3rd, 4th and 5th place. So Toulouse drop in to play 5th (York) this weekend, with the winner of that playing the winner of 3rd (Barrow) vs. 4th (Doncaster). The final is the following week, the winner of which also gets promoted.
So in effect, if Toulouse win home games against York and then either Barrow or Doncaster, they'll still go up.

Thanks for the kind words but I struggle to see how we can stay up, all players are free to speak to other other clubs and a number have been snapped up, I struggle to see us being anyway near competitive if we somehow managed to stay in the Championship.

Thanks for the clarification.
I personally would have preferred the old top 5 playoffs that were in SL.

| How the RFL can be 'promoting' the likes of Toronto and Toulouse after putting the boot into Gateshead and Sheffield is beyond me.

Not sure what boots were put in, but the reality is that Toulouse and especially Toronto have considerable pots of money to bring to the party. It may not be entirely the remains of Sheffield's fault, but the fact is that in recent years they have played in various totally unsuitable holes, before a tiny band of fans, and show no sign of being any more than making up the numbers, which really is a shame especially for the likes of Aston, but realistically, what could the RFL possibly do to make any real difference?
