| Should win by at least 50 here. Just need to keep hold of the ball.
And again, a comfortable score ahead of a game we're obviously going to win, we get a penalty on their line and we decide to take the 2!!??? Showing too much respect. We need to be ruthless.

| Back on top. Another shut out scoreline which I'm very happy with. Massive test against Workington next Sunday.

| York beat NW in Wales 31-4 and 30-0 at home. We beat NW 48-0 in Wales and 50-12 at home so I’d say that’s this week’s assignment passed with flying colours.
A bonus that we have managed to stay at the top as well as I always expected York to go top this weekend with their fixture being WW.

| Bit worrying to find out that West Wales only had 14 players yesterday. The last thing we need is for them to be not able to fulfil fixtures and Bulls to get something like a 30 -0 walkover.

| A few too many dropped balls again today, but defensive line speed seems to me to be improving, classy tries from Chisholm and Keyes. Impressed that we are still ahead in the table.
Lilley, Chisholm and Keyes on the pitch at the same time has potential. In answer to Rollin Thunder, early days of course but he seems to be fitting in very well so far, started in the halves today moved to dummy half during the first half and played very well IMO.

In that case, all results would be expunged or all results put to 30-0. No other options would be fair

| Second week running that we've won 40 odd to nil and yet I've ended up feeling a bit deflated.
We really should have won by 70 today. Just needed better ball retention!
On the plus side, enjoyed my day out in North Wales. Sat between chav corner and the Cru-cru-cru fans - plenty of banter...

I think you and Nothus may have read this post wrong. The post to me is more about Yorks attack rather than us. Nobody can argue the fact they move the ball better than us and play a more fluent attacking game than we do which works for them

I'd have taken (bitten their hand off, more like) 48 to zip before the game, but yes I felt we'd not really played to our best.
JK, rightly, said that they tried lots of things and sometimes they don't come off, well yes, I can accept that totally but many of the errors were simply in contact errors, not just when doing the flamboyant stuff. Again, I can't remember the ref giving any 'ball stealing' decisions (I may be wrong..) so we must assume these were loose carries or he missed quite a bit of what went on in the multiple tackles.
Some of our play, particularly the tries, was superb though with Chissy the man of the match but Lilley, Crossley and Ryan also outstanding. As was Keyes when he came on with the pack generally giving quality performances though I thought Peltier seemd a bit subdued. Maybe carrying a knock?

I think that York have been together longer as a team than we have, to be fair. We pretty much had to re-new much of our side after relegation.

| I thought it was another one of those performances that has you applauding one minute and tearing your hair out the next. We’re capable of some superb rugby at times. The tries to Keyes, Chisholm and Pownall were fantastic. Our goal line defence scrambled really well when it had to as well. On the minus side we again made far too many sloppy errors and we would have been made to pay by a better side. It looked like Kear was experimenting with a few things. Oakes moving into the backrow seemed to go ok, Lilley at hooker I was less sure about.
Some familiar issues. Chisholm does over elaborate at times and it leads to errors. Hallas is too slow at dummy half. Minchella is our best backrower by a mile. Ryan is incredible under those cross kicks.
It was a really warm welcome from the locals. It took no time to get served at the bar – Bulls management take note!

| Defence has tightened up well. They could do worse than make it a mission to complete their first 10 sets a la Bennett, then mistake free will become a habit.I thought having the trio of Chisolm,Keyes and Lilley on the field at the same time was potentially MAGIC in this league which left me awaiting the next game with extra enthusiasm.Minchella is very talented and runs some epic lines which has resulted in him scoring all those tries. All in all I think there is a lot to be positive about after that performance, scoring some excellent tries.Hope we can keep hold of Ryan.

| It was nice to see us get an early try but we quickly made a lot of errors back to back inviting a lot of pressure on ourselves. I was very pleased to see us shut the crusaders out despite given them all that field position and that probably killed off the game early on when we finally got back up their end and scored our second.
Job done and done well at the end of the day. York will have been pretty confident of staying at the top of the table atleast this week with their walk over game vs raiders but we have tagged them back. As long as we keep winning I think we will see out top place especially when we get to tag our points on against the raiders, subject to them fulfilling the fixture of course

Funny you mention the Pownall one. Proper Sport tweeted out a clip during the game of that try saying how great the pass was. Unfortunately the clip itself was so blurry because the cameraman zoomed in without focusing, that you couldn't actually see hardly any of what happened.
I don't know if it was the same on the live stream, but you'd think they'd have watched the clip before tweeting it!

| Hope he's ok. We're already missing Laithwaite, to lose Mini would be a big blow.
Luckily I saw the Pownell try 1st hand and it was a great offload from Ryan.

He’s struggling a bit, it’s his shoulder. Off to see the physio tonight.

Aye, supposedly that's how we lost Sam Burgess. Russell Crowe wasn't aware of Super League but happened to be randomly surfing the web, found some fans on RLFans talking about this RL wunderkind and immediately started schmoozing his mama in order to make sure he got his man.

I suspect schmoozing Caisley would also had to happen as he was and still is the Burgii manager, with whom the Bunnies are now negotiating for new contracts with them!

Yeah they have, wasn't a slight on us was just pointing out where I think wooly was coming from. To be fair it was a very pleasing result for me considering York only beat them by 30 at home. This week will go a long way to me to see how it could pan out. We need the result Sunday first and foremost
