Looks like a good agenda. I'd include someone like Adeybull in the initial talk who can give us some input about BISA successes/failings as MDF says.

For those who can't attend the meeting on Tuesday, let me know if there is anything they would like to raise (for example, possible goals for the trust/group) or particular days of the week they would like to avoid. That way anyone who was unable to make this meeting can still have an input and will hopefully be able to attend the next meeting.

And for those who missed the date, time or venue of the meeting (as it's a few pages back now), the details are in my sig.

Myself and a fellow Bulls fan (Dom) have been discussing this idea for a while however we've not got anywhere. Since reading the posts we feel that we'd be interest to see what it all entails. In light of this would any of you object to us two coming along on Tuesday evening?

Absolutely not! The meeting is open to anyone who'd like to come and discuss a supporters group and what would be involved, nobody is committing to anything by attending. Look forward to seeing you there!

Same here as I have work at the hospital 12 noon till ten pm

I know we've had a few people who can't attend on Tuedsay, is that because Tuesdays are a bad day in general? If so we can avoid Tuesdays for a follow-up meeting (if there's enough interest for one of course!).

Right. I'm working tomorrow night so I simply can't be there, but if meetings are going to be on a Tuesday then I can do everyone after that.

I would like to properly put some effort behind this, and get really on board if no-one objects! It's something I'm passionate about.

And I was contemplating the idea of trying to get a fanzine together for some time now. I had initial conversations with Stuart Duffy about it, but clearly, it isn't a one man job. Doing a journo degree it'd help me and I'd love to do it!

Sounds like a good plan Mark. Like I say, this is a one-off and I simply can't attend tonight. However, I have lots of time around my uni work and I'd like to be considered for a position within in the trust, perhaps something on the media/PR side?

I doubt that, even if the idea proves popular, we'll actually appoint anyone tonight. I guess that we'll report back here, get a list of people who are interested in having a serious role, then have a second meeting to finalise details and appoint a temporary board to get the idea off the ground. If the trust is actually formed then I guess the board would need to be elected.

Or ditch the whole idea due to lack of interest. One or the other!

If there is interest, word of experience #1 - I strongly urge that no attempt is made tonight to appoint. Firstly cos there is likely to be a lot to think about and chew over, and secondly cos there look to be quite a few unavoidable absentees tonight who would likely want to contribute to appointing - or consider volunteering as - committee/board members. You need the widest possible constituency from which to select and the widest possible support for those appointments IMO.

Incidentally, word of experience #2 - decide at inception of the meeting who is taking minutes. Its one of that long list of things that take longer than and (to do properly) is a bigger job than most people realise. Especially important given so many people who are not attending have said they want to read "the minutes" NOT a wise idea to trust to memory afterwards. And its hard to take minutes and be actively involved in the meeting. Remember too, that if its not written down it never happened; and whoever writes the minutes gets to say what happened...

Sounds like you will shortly be going down with a bad case of dead...
