Back in the day when all games were played on Sunday I used to listen to Radio Leeds whilst walking to the ground for the build up, and on the way back for the results from other games and interviews etc, "here in the Odsal mudbath" ( which Radio Leeds continued to go on about for thirty years after it dried up) and all that. Most of the guys doing the commentary were ex-pros, like the one I've forgotten who used to do the Cas matches.

That's the boyo! He used to favour Cas a bit in the commentaries, just like most of the Radio Leeds people he was a teensy bit biased for his old team. Not David Doyle Davidson biased, there's only one DDD, but just a bit, for instance, Cas only ever conceeded due to an 'ever so unfortunate bounce' or a decision that was 'a bit harsh' and, of course 'Classy Cas couldn't play in the Odsal mudbath'.

We were never fortunate enough to have an ex-player with the skillset to do commentaries; it would have been great to have someone favouring us, but I guess our ex-players had to much um, err and yer knor worra mean.......if yer knor warra mean!

I suspect you are one of the few not to be aware that Bulls launched a "Pledge" campaign to get 10,000 season ticket holders. And, if achieved (and it was) then you could get a terrace season ticket for £60 and a stand ticket (other than the posh part) for £99. As a result, I paid just over half what I paid for my stand ticket last year, and thousands of lapsed fans - as well as a few new ones - signed up.

the truth is we'll never know. Bradford have got some clever marketing types and have managed to get 12,000 folk through the door when harlequins have visited. Some Keighley fan dangling a line out there to get a few bites is irrelevant

Depends if you count London Broncos playing at Wembley in front of 73,242

pretty laughable letter in league express from a cas fan claiming they brought 3000 for there game at odsal. They brought a decent following over for sure but no way was it 3k. 1-1.5k tops I'd guess.
