I have read 3 versions of events regarding Carvell on this board.
One was that he was training in Liverpool and the poster was less than optimistic.
The other was that he was at the team photo shoot and looked happy enough.
The last one is about the Hull rumour.
Maybe the reason he is refusing to train, is that the board have been trying to sort something out with him in the last few weeks but when he got paid, it wasn't what he expected.
Don't think it can all be laid at the door of Carvell.

All the squad have done altitude training in Liverpool. Someone put 2+2 together and got 5 with that rumour.

It says today in the daily star (I know) that hull fc are also in talks with Luke gale now

They say with some juggling they can get carvell under the cap. But how much more juggling to get gale as well? Feels unlikely to me.

Thought wakefield were in for Sammut and Gale

I'm expecting at least 4 hull players to go at some point soon . Always ways round the cap like back loading contracts and such

Would of thought with Miller and the other Aussie half back they have signed,forget his name,also Richard Horne,half back is not a position they would be looking to strengthen

Miller seems out of favour and was a Gentle signing alledgedly on big money, Rankin looks ok, Horne will go well but injury prone, Gale would be a welcome addition.

Was there any notable absentees last night at the season launch dinner? What was the general mood?

Would have to pay off Miller who probably earns quite a bit more than Gale at Bradford (thanks to McRae/Gentle).

I think if that happened Miller would not count on the cap as long as he hasn't played this season.

How much stomach Pearson has for continally losing cash paying off duff signings and whether Gale would want to come to Hull remains to be seen.

Gale I would not be bothered if he left. He's flattered to deceive for two years. Sammut as Gaskell half partnership excites me! However on the "on report" video on te SL website, one of te guys on it was saying when he spoke to Franny, the one player he did not want to lose was Luke Gale. Ad on SSN, he made it clear to the reported Gale was his first choice half back and it was up to Sammut and Gaskell to get the other.

The Sammut to Wakey has been doing the rounds but I would be surprised if he chose to go there.

Whether you 'rate' someone or not is irrelevant now. Our squad is already far, far too small to go into a full season with - we can't afford to lose any more bodies now.
I'm already fearing the worst - this squad won't make it through the seaosn imo, it's nowhere near big enough.

If (when) Carvell leaves, we need at least two bodies coming in to replace him. Evans seems like an obvious target, but who the hell else is available one week before the season kicks off?

There's more Than just SL, NRL and Queensland CIO. There's a country called France just over the pond with some outstanding talent. Will cost very little to sign and will come here hungry. Why oh why clubs don't look there more baffles me.

Hull FC are a desperate club with a desperate owner and a desperate coach hence why they are talking about other club's contracted players on their website.

It's all a result of poor off-season recruitment and poor pass sales.

Don't see why Carvell or Gale would want to go to FC when their owner has already started his transition into football and he'll be jumping ship from FC before you can say "Leeds Utd".
