| The contract is only completed if a working visa is also sent, Walkout hadn't sent one for whatever reason, hence the Bulls could say we haven't signed him and could sign Orford, its a technical point and a crucial one for both parties, it will be intersting to see Sod Halls take on it and also why are the GMB involved in a non members problem??

An opinion based on assumption as opposed to fact.
You're assuming he's signed a contract. That's a hell of an assumption to make considering what information has actually been released. At no point has anyone said that both parties had signed a contract (as far as I've seen anyway).
I'm not saying it was signed or it wasn't. However before I decide to blame one party or the other, I'd rather know that particular fact for sure.

Surely if you're an agent and have a client who's agreed a contract, why wouldn't you say "sorry, my client has signed a contract already so we're not looking at offers". sounds more like Orr has said "we've had an offer from Bradford for x amount, but what can you offer?"

And?
What exactly is wrong about that? If people have signed things and gone back on it, yes, it's wrong. But I fail to see what's bad about wanting a player and then soemone better coming along, so choosing them instead. If your team were speaking to Chris Feather and then Fuifui Moimoi came along and asked if he could sign instead, would you say "No, sorry, we're going to stick with Feather"?
Methinks some are just looking for excuses to slag us off.
And incidentally, is there any chance you could learn some grammar? Just a little so I don't have to read each post 5 times to get it?

| He was also asked:
@chris5walker Are you hoping to still join Bradford? Or are talks with them about some kind of 'settlement'? Shocking treatment by them.
To which he has replied:
@AlexG6 don't know yet, time will tell.
More fuel to the fire...

It's not fact tell me where the sequence of events above has been proved to be correct yet? I'm not disputing that that is what happened because at this moment in time the only comment we've heard is Peter Hood in the T&A saying that we weren't interested in Chris Walker weeks before Orford became available, the scenario above as described by Walker and Orr who weeks before this happened were qouted in the same aussie press as having been offered a contract by Bradford but wanting to sign for a Queensland club and the comments from Proffessional trouble causer Rob Burrow's dad of the GMB Union.
So until this mess is resolved through the proper processes of the RFL or civil courts we have no idea as to what exactly happened. Unless of course you are party to information that is not in the public domain?
Then again you could be the sort of reactionary idiot that takes everything written in the press as gospel and is outraged accordingly.

Assume for a minute that Walker did in fact sign a contract on August 13th. The contract must be submitted to the board within 48 hours. Even allowing for time differences, that's August 16th at the very latest. Waiting around 3 more months until Orford became available simply doesn't work within your scenario.

Well, you may be right. However there are several other scenarios that do not paint the Bulls in a poor light. If you'd read the thread you'd find them littered around. However before launching into your enlightened attack on the club did you actually think about...
a) the one sided notion of events as played out in the press?
b) that Walker's agent could perhaps be in the wrong (e.g. he supposedly had 2 clients signing for the Bulls: Kearney, whose deal went through without a hitch, and Walker. When he got the counter-signed contract through for Kearney you'd think that he'd get slightly nervous about Walker's wouldn't you?)
P.S. The Bulls announced Kearney had signed early on in October before he had a visa.

It was announced in the Aussie press while I was over there in early to mid August, also Orr states that both players signed contracts on Aug 13th.
Working visas seem to be taking 6-8 weeks, so we won't see Orford for another week or so earliest!

| visa system must have really improved this year. how long did that take 3 weeks?
confirmation of where everyone expects walker to end up in this link. Cant help but think he's just trying to get a payment out of us before signing with them.

| so it's just another rehash of the same old rubbish. no new information.
now, i'd expect that the club would confirm registration of a player with the player or his agent. or at least confirm signed copy of the offered contract has been recieved.
now, if this is the case, why didn't mr orr get concerned that he'd had confirmation for kearney's move but not walker's?
could it have anything to do with him looking round for a bigger pay day and now his greed has come back and kicked him in the ?

| As previously stated in the thread - the SL Operating Rules require ALL new contracts to be notified to the RFL within 48 hours of coming into existence. As the club obviously didn't do this then they didn't think said contract existed! You'd think that Walker's agent would have wondered why (if he'd been @sed to check the rules that is)
