At least we thanked Sawyer for all his hardwork by helping to relegate Dewsbury with our ineptitude.

I think Nige isn't interested in the day to day running of the club. He's interested in the more interesting aim of trying to pull off new stadium and new home for the RFL.

For all we slag him off it's the politics game he seems to be successful at and he proved with 'fax if he gets hands on with running the club it goes down the pan but if he can schmooze council people/MPs/others into getting it sorted for him then he gets decent amount of credit.

As for his ultimate motivation lord alone knows but I don't think he's expecting miracles in the next couple of years. I reckon he knows there's no point having a side challenging for promotion in the stadium we have. If the stadium plans fail (as per) then I think he'll offload.

The impending economic tsunami is going to put paid to a lot of these levelling up plans.

I'd say the £20m is a small proportion of what that artists impression would cost to build.
It's more likely to involve a lot of developers money too.
Look how big the land at the back of the stadium, the golf course, and the Richard Dunnes site is.
Incorporate retail, park & Ride and housing in a package deal it might work.
The Bulls, The clowncil, & the RFL are all broke but stand to gain.
The "end game" may well be playing out

Any news or rumour about if Mark Dunning is going to get any help at all in 2023? He had about 3 jobs last year and was working stupid hours. That's no way to treat a head coach (or any employee) and sends a bad message out to the rest of the game.

Bit of a weird one in a way. Wasn’t Greenwood touted as a head coach for us? I think it’s good that Dunning’s got help. I’m just not convinced Dunning is the guy to get us playing again. I seriously hope I’m wrong though, as it looks like him and Noble are assembling a solid squad.

Strange appointment for Dunning if he doesn't have a good start to the season and poor form continues you have ready made replacement already in building.

Didn't you suggest bringing him as head coach if memory serves. Im sure you would agree being a number 2 is quite a difference.
