I think fitness has actually got worse for some players (e.g Patton). I get the feeling there's discontent in the dressing room. Some are pulling their weight and some aren't and that's not going to end well as some will end up wondering why they bother if other's aren't.

Personally, if I was playing at this level and 6 or 7 of my team mates were sporting beer bellies I'd be looking for a move to a club that gave a poop.

This is why we need a change in coach now. If we wait then we'll miss the recruitment window as the season progresses and potentially lose those players who aspire to be better. Players want to know who they'll play for and want to know the club they're joining isn't a basket case. If we limp onto the end of the season and finish mid to lower table we'll have a job on to recruit anyone decent.

I was thinking that the other day. I can’t remember a time when our players looked so unfit compared to the teams we come up against. You sort of let it go against full timers but even the other part timers are miles ahead of us. To think of the stick Martin Clawson used to get compared to where we are at now.

Step up to one of the big boys? Come on get real Fax are as big as bulls if not bigger at the moment. Sleeping giant possibly but that depends on ownership etc but you could say that about a lot of clubs.

Fev are brilliant on the pitch it’s a shame they can’t seem to help themselves with stuff like this on social media. I’ve seen a few SL clubs doing it recently as well and I think it’s really unprofessional. Leave the ‘banter’ to the fans.

It’s really naff but so was the original statement. If the club are going to come out with statements like that they ask for the p155 taking out of them IMO. It’s the social media equivalent of playing we will rock you when the crowd go quiet.

It's a bit of fun and that tweet caused a lot of positive comments from across RL including from at least one RL journo.

Fev's Twitter account did a similar bit of teasing with Halifax before we played them and the Fax Twitter account responded in kind, all good fun.

I must admit I'm not overly bothered, but just in general terms I'd say "Banter" is supposed to be among equals. A way to poke fun at your peers. I'd be wary of taking the pee of clubs that are not your peers, because that runs the risk of just being snide.

Fev’s banter social media doesn’t bother me, it just creates a rod for their own back on the very slim chance it blows up in their face. Everyone remembers Fev’s destination super league T-Shirts from last year after all….

I don't blame them for giving it the bigun while they're doing well. Things won't be so easy in SL and I fully expect them to be back amongst the rest of us also rans in a year or two.

I hope they go up tbh. The comments on the VT after super league fans have been there will be worth it alone. Plus they’ll get spanked every week and then be relegated after a year in the knowledge that they’ll never be at the same level ever again.

Actually I agree with some of the comments about Fev, who knows what's round the corner, best just to enjoy success whilst we can. Same for every team.

Maybe he fancies rebuilding some of what his brother began! We can dream eh!

On a similar note, Rohan Smith just announced as Rhinos head coach.

It'll be interesting to see how Smith goes on at Leeds. Massive job. A lot of deadwood to remove and I daresay a lot of vested interests in jobs behind the scenes too. On the coaching front I always thought he was handicapped by the off field issues with us in 2016. We played some great rugby - albeit against lesser opponents - but when it mattered at Fev that day he and team came well short.

If Tony Smith becomes our next head coach I'll dance naked on top of the Touchdown Bar.

You could see where he was taking us as a club and yes, whilst it ultimately came unstuck at Fev on that one game I think the years that would have followed would have been very exciting to be a Bulls fan.

Coaches teams to play with their heads up and instills confidence to back themselves when the time feels right. Won't always get it correct but i'd rather go into a game knowing we were going to throw everything at a team than just 5 drives and a kick.

I genuinely think he could be the catalyst for the Rhinos becoming a major force again.
