| Peltier is the sort of bloke you can't help but like. He's not the best player by any stretch. But out of all those players out on the pitch, he seems to care more than any of them. And it shows in his attitude and his pure willingness to be better than he is. You can see the passion and emotion in his game. No doubt part of it comes from being a Bradford fan as a kid, but I'd take that passion and that emotion over raw ability any day. It's the difference between a Karl Pryce (raw ability but no heart) and a Shaun Ainscough (lacking in some abilities but bloody gave it his all). I'd take Ainy over Pryce any day of the week.
Davies however, I'm not sure how people are defending. He's been sh*t every time I've seen him play.

| I don't rate Davies. He's even behind Kirk who's a heck of a lot to learn and was probably thrust in too early.

| Kirk's best days are three, four or maybe five years down the track. If he wants to play prop he needs to fill our more than anything and, with the best will in the world, that takes time.

Regarding Ross Peltier, I recall this article from the end of last season....
www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/s ... ord_Bulls/
Seems his commitment and dedication to our club has never been in question and has been there from day one, exactly the kind of bloke we need right now.

| Peltier (Bentley aside) has been our best forward.
However I think calls for him to be captain are OTT. You need your skipper to be an 80 minute player.

Agreed. Peltier is a class act, and as the saying goes "actions speak louder than words". He was a big lad at the Cougars but he worked hard in the off season. Gave up 2 months work in order to start training earlier than the rest of the lads and really got himself in shape. Hard working, always runs the ball in well and is Bradford through and through. Need to sign him up ASAP.
Davies on the other hand is the biggest waste of a prop forward shirt I have seen in a long time.

I though Lauaki went alright at the back end of last season. Seemed to have improved a lot. Davies however

Been confirmed? I've seen the Bentley confirmation, haven't seen these, even though I know Campbell is rumoured to be back at Batley.

No surprise with Campbell. Been one of our top players this year. I would like to see him step up to SL

The strong rumour seems to have him going back to Batley, so he won't be playing SL any time soon. I'm not convinced he's an SL player anyway, but he is a good Championship one and I do wish he was staying.

| Campbell isn't anywhere near SL quality. He's definitely a decent Championship player though so I can see why he's moving on. His face has never really seemed to fit at Odsal though. Shame because I thought he's shown some glimpses of what he's capable of.

I do think if he could step up he could hold his own.

| It doesn't matter. The restructure is scheduled for 2019 season so if the Bulls are to gain anything expect another year of treading water and paying your entrance fees. Wake me up when the league matters.

| If the restructure is to include a magic ticket back to SL then I hope, as a team, we do just enough for mid table mediocrity next year. That should lob a spanner in their works.

The fact he got given the number 3 shirt in the squad numbers showed just how desperate we were for recruitment at the start of the season. The fact he's still in the team shows just how unlucky we've been to injuries in the centres (Tonga, Gibson, Oakes).

| If next season is to be another, 'holding pattern', with no ambition, no investment, no genuine recruitment likely to lead to improvement, then I can see the single reason we are wanted back in SL going awol' and finding another, hopefully more rewarding, use for Sunday afternoons.

| Indeed Bulliac.
Talking to Stuart Duffy yesterday he was of the opinion that this season was pretty much a foregone conclusion from the start given the playing resources we had. Many of our players simply weren't wanted by other clubs and we can see the reason for that in their performances.
We're at a level now where it will take some proper money to ensure we're not in another "holding pattern" season. Whether Chalmers is in it for real should be apparent before long. He's brought in some useful players but too late for them to do much good this season and some of them have been injured immediately.
I doubt we'll manage it but we need to keep the likes of Chisholm, Gibson, Sironen, Peltier, Smith, Moore (if he avoids chokey) and our better kids.
Add to that some half decent part timers including some tough, aggressive forwards in the Alex Rowe mould and I will be on board.
