The same reasoning would prevent points deductions in ordinary admin. It's a new legal entity when you come out the other side.

My preference now, as with all those above, is L1. If we somehow get something together in four weeks and play this season then to play in Ch means relegation. Remains to be seen what the squad is. But the squad is all gone now. There is no TUPE here, as far as my limited knowledge tells me. This isn't an old entity transferred to a new one. This is just a new one with no previous.

If we are about to see the majority of the team walk away then I don't think I can watch it happen.

Thats the only option. Two bidders were accepted by the RFL. If they want to bid again, they know what is needed. Senior players and/or good players won't stay with a 12 point deduction though, not if they have ambition.

If you drop down to L1 that in itself creates other problems for the RFL. Blackpool needs the correct number of teams and that would necessitate a club being promoted or not relagated. That team would immediately be at a disadvantage as they will have recruited for a season in championship 1.

This. There is a month before the season starts. It's not possible to find owners, players, a ground, sell tickets, get kit and all the million other things that need to happen before the season starts. And then to possibly try to compete in the Championship?

Not sure where I stand now, followed this club since 67 through thick and thin, but I'm just so tired and ticked off with the whole shooting match.

As opposed to the "Bulls" who have no players? That will be a good season.

It shows the stupidity and flawed nature of the whole Blackpool concept doesn't it.

I am deeply saddened to hear about the events that has happened with the Bulls. I sincerely hope that something positive comes about from the awful news of liquidation and my thoughts are with ALL personnel associated with the club. Having visited Odsal with a friend I found the stadium, atmosphere and fans a great experience and from that point onwards always kept an eye on your results.
As a follower of the Rhinos I honestly say I had taken for granted the success we had achieved. With the sad events that has happened today with the Bulls I hope I will be more appreciative of any future success that I may witness in the future.

I genuinely hope that Bradford Bulls will return in a new guise and I for one will be extremely happy.

You'd have to believe that they've been working on a Plan B for a while, because there's no way to pull everything together from scratch between now and February.

Hopefully, the RFL have 'signalled' to the players and their agents that, if they hold tight, they can be TUPE'd over to a new company in the next day or two. OK, a few will doubtless 'do a Kopczak', but hopefully the bulk of the squad will remain (if only because nobody else has any space on their cap to sign them!)

When Gareth Roberts denied he had bid for the club, wasn't it in the same statement that he was planning a meeting with the council and the RFL in the new year. hopeful?

It wasn't just me, if you read the administrators press release before Christmas they confirmed they 'had the sale' - the RFL then approved it, only for the administrator to then reject it.

Ultimately they turned down two viable bids, one from the party I know - all very curious?!

The party I know are still interested as are others, and they're now essentially bidding for a license from the RFL to form a professional rugby league club to play at Odsal.

How it all plays out now is anyone's guess, but the RFL are now the only show in town for any prospective bidders, which actually gives me more hope than dealing with Bodgit and Scarper Administrators or whatever they're called.

FWIW I'm gutted, having supported Bradford since 1975 this is about as bad as I've ever felt over sport - even worse than Nathan Graham letting Gouldings high bomb bounce at Wembley in 96'

Hmmm not sure how i feel. I think the RFL have got themselves in a corner in they can't relegate us as they need 12 teams for the summer bash. I can't see a L1 club wanting to come up except Toronto as they will have put togehter a L1 squad and would come straight back down.

Only positive is looks like Green's underhand tricks of holding the club to ransom to get money back has backfired.

What a load of nonsense. Why do the RFL insist on making up rules as they go along. If a new club forms it should be made to start in Championship 1 and earn its right to play in Championship. It devalues the Championship!

What happens if you sign all the same players and relagate some other team that has honoured its debts at the cost of putting out a competitive team?
