| Great offer. Sure the extra central funding, money from away support and extra sponsrhip will plug the gap of season tickets.
I'm in. COYB!

| In partnership with Provident is probably the crucial bit. Well it's certainly different, whether the initial 5% will be enough I'm not sure but I hope it works for the club.

| So, buy a season ticket in 2017 at 5% less than the 2016 cost. If we don't get promoted then 2018's ticket has a 20% reduction but if we DO go up then you get a 2018 season ticket for free.
Not a bad offer. But I still feel nervous around the club going for this wild offers. Last time didn't work out too well

| That's an insane offer. So if we go up then the club will lose any income from season tickets apart from new ones? And if we don't the club will have to operate on even less money?
It's so insane, it's bordering on genius.

| well, not sure what to think really. Its certainly different, and as someone who historically always had a season ticket, but didn't last year (not just for rugby reasons mind) its making me think about rejoining is that. I'm not sure it will attract all the lapsed fans back, because we're still playing in the 2nd tier with the worlds longest preseason, but for anyone like me who was 50/50 to get one or not it might just make the difference.
However, we've been here before with crazy ticketing, I just hope Mr Greens calculator works better than the last lots and we're not banking everything on going up.

Well, if we're selling about 2k season tickets, which looked to be about the size of the crowd during the shield games, then it's not THAT big a gamble. If we're in SL then we'll be getting at least an extra 2k on the average gate which will cover the season ticket drop off.

| Is the key question, how do we afford a FULL TIME squad in 2018 if we don't go up, bearing in mind we will have even cheaper prices? I hope all our eggs aren't in one basket

| Exactly, sounds like basically an insurance policy, if we did get promoted, the reduced income is covered by the sponsor - but whose sponsorship would be of much more value in SL. So, win-win. Great innovation, you'd have to be mad not to renew

| I'm in ... clever marketing twist... hopefully some spreadsheet monkey has got it correct in their assumptions!!
TBH I was always going to renew anyway... born and bred in Bradford...even though I toyed with the idea for about a nanosecond of jacking my season ticket for 2017 after this seasons debacle...realistically I am never going to stop going... so I'm in with bells on!

| I didn't buy one this season but this seems like too good an offer to resist. And in fact seeing as I didn't buy one, the club basically needs to pay me 5% to buy a new one. Winner.

| Haven't Widnes done something similar? I think they've said that if they win so many games in 2017, then 2018 prices will be massively reduced/free. I know their sums will be using different figures for central funding etc. but the theory behind it is roughly similar.
I was going to renew anyway so all this means little to me, but if it works and it gets more people to commit then you have to commend Marc and the team for some shrewd marketing.

I want to say £230? Does that sound right? So it'd be £218 for 2017. Then either £184 in 2018 or free.

| I think its a great gesture from the club. Alot of people read into season ticket sales as a level of succes for a club, but in the modern working world people including my self work shifts or work Sundays. Last year i purchased the 3 games for £60 membership and paid at the gate twice as i could only make 5 home games. This is an offer i think the club should promote more as next year i will hope to make more games and possibly purchase 2 of the £60 memberships

| Isn't this the kind of thing that got Bradford into trouble in the first place, with the massively reduced prices?
Let's take a ridiculous amount of tickets. Say you sell 4,000 at £250 each, get to Super League and attract crowds of 7,000. You are trying to survive in the top flight with a million quid less than you should be and on gate receipts from just 3,000 fans.
I know the season ticket sales might be less in reality, but the principle is the same.
Good luck if it works, but it seems a very short-term solution, and perhaps more about staving off immediate problems; i.e., get the money in the bank now and worry about 2018 in 2018.

I'd hardly call 5% off last year's price a massively reduced rate. And although we've been getting decent crowds for the Championship (and putting more than one SL club to shame) we only seem to have around 2500 season ticket holders this year. Even with this offer, I don't see there being a huge increase on that number given this is our 3rd year in the Championship and the shine has gone off the optimism of that first year following relegation. I'm still not convinced that Bradford can make the step up to SL via the current league system. Leigh have shown that you need at least someone with deep pockets to bank roll a team of SL players as well as a coach who knows how to forge those players into an effective unit. I don't see that perfect storm being repeated any time soon, so really the free ticket bit is all just a bit pie in the sky. Where as the 20% off tickets for a fourth year in the Championship means £185 per ticket, which is hardly bank breaking and a likely spur to get renewals through the door.
