| He looks a bit of a beast doesn't he! The thing I like most is that whilst he is a big bloke he also looks to be pretty fast too. Decent offload and step on him. Could be an ideal Mitch Clark replacement.
I refuse to allow myself to get too excited about potential signings based on youtube clips after some of our experiences in the last 2 years. However this guy looks very promising.
So, props wise so far for 2017 we are Sidlow, Kavanagh, Magrin, Peltier and Kirk?

| Don't know much about him but we're in need of props and he looks a big unit.
Hopefully he is a grafter aswell and as others have said, none of us thought Clark would do quite as well as he has so you never know.
Full time environment and a bit leaner over off season, I do have more faith in Rohan's judgement when it comes to signings as so far he hasn't put a foot wrong in that respect.

That would make even more sense

I'm not too bothered about him being a grafter. We have plenty of them in Sidlow, Kavanagh, Haggerty etc
We need someone who has an impact and rattles a few cages. From the highlights he looks that sort of prop. Definitely reminds me of Mitch Clark in that he looks to run as hard as he can and won't just break the tackle, he'll try and break it.

Probably a daft question but who's Kirk? Apologies if I'm being dim again.

Academy lad Liam Kirk. One of the six that were awarded first team contracts a few weeks ago. Never seen him play myself but have read he is a prop.
With him, Peltier and Magrin being fairly young i'd like to see one more experienced prop to complete the set.
Kavanagh is starting to impress me now he has had a decent run of games.

| Cheers. I assumed that it was one if the academy lads but his name wasn't mentioned on the players list for next year that I found. Must have been an old list.

| From today's T&A article:
"Head coach Smith, who is also believed to be eyeing moves for two more props in Ben Evans and Scott Wheeldon, said: "Ross has got a point to prove."
If we got both of them I would be very happy with our set of props for next year.

| I particularly like the quote that Ross would play for Bradford for free.
Exactly what we need, players with passion for the club.

Given our heavily rumoured financial problems, what we [iactually[/i need is players who will play for free

Agreed. Definitely like to see Evans at 13 to give us some size. Hoping we can get Philbin too. Wheeldon will provide some depth. Hoping Rohan can pull a Moss/Chisholm quality prop/ from the NRL.
Liking sound of Peltier more and more. at 6ft 4, he won't be a shrinking violet. Looks like our lack of size issue will be sroted next year. Feeling optimistic.
Kavanagh
0B
Sidlow
Walton
Haggerty
Evans.
Thats a decent sized pack with plenty of graft.
Magrin/Wheeldon/Peltier.

| I can look at his physical attributes and his more than welcome statement of intent in the T&A and even factor in coach Smith's talk of him being one for the future, but is it just me, or does anyone else wonder, given the way we're discussing Ross here, why he has struggled to get a game for Keighley? Who if I may remind everyone, are in the league below us.

He has been getting in the team? He's made 21 appearances this year scoring 8 tries.

Blooming 'eck!
"Pot calling kettle" springs to mind
Seriously though, he has an awful lot of potential, just needs someone to bring him on. If Rohan ....Fangorn .... Hobbiton... Whatever his name is, is half the coach his uncle is I'm sure you will have a great asset.
He needs to loose weight, get fit and spend some time with a good experienced prop. It's a big loss for Keighley, in my opinion, but our (soon to be ex) coach, was never going to get the best out of him.
