I agreed a price with Green and everything. The RFL only gave me 4 weeks to provide proof of funds 1.6million pounds. Enough to fund the club for the rest of this year and next. They were s though and wouldn't extend the deadline when I just fell short by 1 599 988 pounds!

I had great ideas to increase revenue from the ground like a young offenders institute, ostrich farm, international airport and casino.

Anyone going to be brave enough to give names...

Just to clarify folks (as I think one or two got part of a discussion line confused tonight). There was no mention of the club "being sold".

Merely 'discussion' of the surrounding rumours about it.

No I can't have that. I just finished listening to it, and it stated several times by Ross and Mick that Green is coming back early from Ibiza tomorrow and there are strong rumours that the club is about to be sold

To be fair, the guys from the supporters group stayed quiet on those comments.

Either that, or its the thing only me and debaser know that we heard, and we've sworn secrecy, sorry everybody.

Last time the club was sold, the RFL had input regarding the buyer as it was claimed they could approve or deny our SL franchise depending on who it was.
Does the RFL have any input this time around? Do they have a fit & proper person rule to apply? Do they have any right to see proof of funds?

If it IS who I've heard coming in, then I'm quite excited. They are a bit marmite, but in my opinion a really decent person and someone I would trust.

I think that the rumours Mick Gledhill keeps referring to were started by Mick himself. While Marc Green was trying to find funds to pay players wages Mick said on his BCB forum that he and Ross had been speaking to somebody all week about the possibility of that person investing in the club. Just before the radio programme began the mystery investor requested to remain nameless.

Then last week on twitter somebody asked Mick if he had heard anymore on the sale of the club. He replied by saying that nothing was imminent as Koukash was on holiday. "Accidental" slip?

The only rumours I have heard regarding the sale of the Bulls have come from Mick himself. Whether there is any substance to it remains to be seen.

I see it that way too Sensei. Most of the rumours I've heard have come via the same source. That's not to say there's nothing in them. I don't know.

Well the person I've heard is very much left-field. A very credible source has told me that it is Hugh Cook, the last Abbot of Reading Abbey who died in 1539.

For what it's worth, given the general lack of interest shown by the money classes so far, I'd guess any 'new owner', [if indeed there is to be a new owner is going to be one of the names on the previous lists from the last two or three years. ATEOTD I support the club. so whoever it is [or remains as long as the club keeps running it'll be OK by me - not that I have any say in any of it anyway..

Somebody told me the mystery man is John Rockefeller. I've never heard of him but apparently he's worth a few bob.
