The poor attitude hasn't been around for month in my mind. Even though we got to the £1m game I still remember many games last season where our performances were terrible but we scraped through. This year they have been terrible but we failed to win them at the last minute. We have been lethargic for two seasons - and all those since McNamara took over.

These games though are not totally pointless. I assume we keep the home game receipts. So, if we make the semi is that 5 games where the semi is all takings. Reach the final and we get half of that. OK, each game up to the semi may only be a couple of thousand walk up at say £15 with extras added. Lets say they get £30k per game X 4. The semi could bring in say £60k and the final could bring in another £30k. If we win it we get £50k extra on our money next year. So, we do need to do well here to bring in around £260k so this is why Smith will play to win every game. We need every penny of that so we do need to go and spend money when we get into the stadium.

Well the club are doing tickets for £15 for each home game. Dunno if those are pre-purchase price of the price on the day.

It would be sensible to have the price on the day, the club could at least take a look at how the crowd turns out a cheaper ticket

If they want my burger buying business then a place the guy selling them can fit inside would be a start. He has to shuffle sideways to step outside, turn around, then shuffle sideways back in to get your change.

I wouldn't bank on many fax fans. A few die hard faithful but even if it was just £5 each. Not many are interested to watch the dross we are serving up, add to that you miserable lot into the mix then it might have to be a bag search for razor blades upon entry. This season really has turned to mush for both clubs.

Unfortunately the term "Super 8s" gets misused. The term actually describes all 3 "groups" of teams at this stage of the competition. The top division is Super 8s Super League, the middle is Super 8s Qualifiers and the bottom is Super 8s Championship Shield.

It's been misused a lot lately as being the "Super League" division, but it's not correct I'm afraid.

I'm like that. I'll go to this one because it's Fax and it's normally a good game to watch, even when we do lose. I doubt I'll turn up for the others though. They'll count my season ticket anyway so they won't be missing out.

If he plays a bunch of Academy players in the other games I might turn up to see how they go, but that'll be it.

Something tells me that we won't see Gaskell on Sunday. Hope we do as I would like to see him pairing with a proper scrum half for a change.

Despite my not caring....[? to beat Fax pretty much does make the rest of the games totally meaningless and that would be better acchieved with match fit blokes, imo. I think for everyone's self respect we need to beat them this time - we've been embarrassed too often by them already to suffer another.

Remember though it does not count if we have half a dozen players missing.

I see your point but I think we have a much better chance of beating Fax with Gaskell playing. Besides that I work in Halifax and can't face the ridicule I would get if we lose again.
