Leigh just announce signing of mitch brown from Cronulla. According to Gledhill there's another two deals still to be announced which would mean clubs signed players before 5om yesterday but haven't decided to announce them them yet. I wonder if the bulls will announce anyone? Am I right in saying any signing couldn't have played this weekend?

according to gospel of mick players had to be signed by thursday to play this week. anyone signed yesterday wouldn't be eligible.
Pretty certain thats cobblers as i distinctly remember leeds signing someone (lee smith returning from union iirc) after 19 man squads had been announced and him playing against us the same weekend. |

Not too certain about this Thursday rule but last season we signed Dane Nielsen before deadline and didn't announce him till following week. Did Ben Evans play today for Warrington? my thinking is we announce next week if can't play this week? |

As far as I know, they can play as soon as they are registered at Red Hall. If they have a director with a fast car they could get the paperwork to Leeds pretty quickly - maybe even on-line, though I wouldn't be shocked to learn that the RFL haven't even got round to getting any of that new fangled 'FAX' technology in yet.. |
