Obviously seen a post on twitter and using it on here.
FWIW, being in the Eurovision has sod all to do with EU membership. It is to do with countries in the EBU. In fact, even Australia are in it these days. So, this would not be the case anyway.

Firstly, I don't do twitter or even FB for that matter.
And secondly it was just meant to be a little joke really, hence the smiley face.

| I prefer spending my own money on what i feel is important to me, rather than sending a few quid every week to a rhinos fan, and then having them give me half of it back to spend on season tickets for watching united!!!
Happy days....

| I'm excited about the prospect of the UK being able to negotiate trade deals with non EU countries.
I already do quite a lot of personal trade with China and the prices are far more competitive than what I would get in the EU.
Ordering items from China is just as easy as ordering them from any European country. The delivery time is pretty similar as well.
There seems to be a message from the remain campaign that we would lose out on deals if we're not sat at the big table. I wonder how countries like New Zealand, Australia, China and America survive as they cannot be included in the 'amazing' European Union.

| As someone that works in the freight industry I think a vote to leave will be a bad move for our economy. That means ultimately the poorest and youngest people will pay the highest price. Amongst other things that seem to resonate with the vote leave lot is that I think the situation at Calais will be a hundred times worse as lorries will now have to be customs cleared as well as checked for migrants creating even bigger delays. Plus france might not feel obliged to let us have our border there. It seems a bit short sighted.
Quote ="Pumpetypump" And all the polls show the young generation want to remain, but it's too close to call because old gits have the perverted sense of superiority over foreigners and will vote leave, despite it not being their blo0dy future they're destroying.'"
I agree as with all things people over 60 should be banned from voting. That generation have had their chance and royally f****d things up. Especially after all the hard work the generation above that put in winning the war and setting up the EU and nhs etc.

I'm guessing if you find the transit time similar you're buying parcel sized goods transported by courier?
Please bare in mind that the largest portion of that cost is actually attributed to process in UK. Air freight part of it costs pence per kilo.
Without EU workers the already crisis state of the driver and warehousing staff shortages will ensure that those goods will inevitably shoot up in price.
Although of course we don't know what brexit will look like. It's more than likely we'll actually end up with a situation where we've signed up to most of EU's rules in return for free trade. Such things like accepting refugee's, fisheries rules, funding, border less travel etc. EU members will probably continue to move to UK without visas etc.
That is of course as long as the unelected House of Lords and queen sign the results off.

| Leaving is like desperately wanting to pee in your pants. At first there's a feeling of relief and for a few moments it's nice and warm. Then it's cold and wet. And we're all forced to wear the same undies...forever.

| At least of we vote to leave there'll be a massive sum of 500 million trillion gazillion pounds a week (or whatever the current made up figure is) not being spent on EU membership for the Tories not to spend on the NHS.

| Quote ="Pumpetypump"I can't really put into words how important this is to me. I am extremely pro Europe and am pretty much beside myself about it.
Facebook makes me want to smash my phone or computer with a hammer until it becomes dust then I would kick the sh.it out of the dust.
There is no valid reason to leave the EU. As soon as I read anything from people who start explaining why we should leave, all I hear is "The world is flat because...." and "Evolution is a myth...". I regard them all as being equally bonkers.
I am ashamed of my fellow white working classes who have irrevocably destroyed their reputation in my eyes. They are the buffoons that seriously go around each day thinking "Britain is full". Is it boll0cks. No coward will ever just admit they want to see less brown faces. Instead they coat it in a sneering veneer of anti EU gibberish. One thing is totally certain, not every person who wants to leave the EU is racist, but every racist wants to leave the EU. All too often Euroscepticism is the acceptable face of racism.
And all the polls show the young generation want to remain, but it's too close to call because old gits have the perverted sense of superiority over foreigners and will vote leave, despite it not being their blo0dy future they're destroying.
I am very VERY het up about it all.'"

Maybe Yorkshire should vote itself out of the UK? We're 'undemocratically' governed by highly paid southerners hundreds of miles away, we export tons of bitter and whippets all around the world, and we were 7th in the total medal table in the last Olympics (should be be our own country). And I would imagine that these 'Londoners' are destroying our identity too, with their cafe Lattes and craft crisps.
While I completely disagree with the Yorkshire Brexiteers, i sort of admire the fact that they're thinking "Despite all the evidence I'm not letting those bloody southern jessies or Huropeens tell ME what to do!"

I voted for Pumpetypump. Alongside Ruth Davidson MSP, the only voice of reason I have heard in the EU debate.
As a sidenote, the BBC debate the other day got me thinking. Our Ruth (above), leader of the Scottish Conservatives, absolutely ripped apart the bumbling oaf that is Boris Johnson live on stage. Completely owned him.
Now, it is my opinion that Boris doesn't actually care about what way we go. He is merely standing against Cameron because he wants his job at Number 10. A vote to leave will surely lead to either Camerons' resignation, or, at the very least, lead to a campaign to oust him.
How can Boris have any credibility when he was completely dominated by another member of his party? Somebody who would be "below him" in the Tory hierarchy? And somebody who is actually a top-class politician rather than an upper-class English twit?

That's the real irony of this for me. I believe in local democracy, not being dictated to by a nasty, spiteful metropolitan Eton elite with no affinity for my class or my area. Germany seems to manage on a federal model with legislative powers resting with the individual states unless specifically specified. But it is recognised that there are issues of national, & international, impact that can only reasonably be agreed at that level. I am a very proud Yorkshireman despite being apparently surrounded by a bunch of paranoid xenophobes with a patronising & ignorant opinion of forriners, & a profound ignorance of the EU.

Alas I fear many people are voting Brexit out of political disenchantment, partially caused by such a negative campaign by both sides no doubt. But shooting yourself in the foot because you don't like your socks seems a daft thing to do to me.

| I actually had this conversation with a couple of Leythers at the Blackpool weekend. Their sole reason for leaving the EU was their fear of the EU destroying their identity. They almost believed that one night a crack EU commando unit would sneak into their bedroom and staple a beret to their head and demand they eat pain-au-chocolat.
I tried to point out that Yorkshire had been part of an Union (the United Kingdon) for a millennia, governed by a political elite hundreds of miles away, and yet I am still a Yorkshireman.

| To be fair to them, I still have no idea where Leigh actually is.
In conversation with colleagues I now have a slightly refined preferred outcome. Within England, a very narrow margin of victory for Leave. Scots and Welsh to keep us in.
Hilarity ensues.
