| If it was a regular weekend fixture i'd be dreading this as Oldham have been competitive all year. But with it being a mid week fixture and Rohan actually using a bit of rotation, I think we'll win.
Batley on the other hand I am anything but confident. But maybe thats the big game we need to get up for. It was only 2 weeks ago we put in a brilliant performance against Leigh.

| We should thrash Oldham and the fact it's an "extra" game in midweek is neither here nor there. Or maybe it's not "here", but is "there" as it gives us the added advantage of playing against part-timers who are also playing their second game in a few days, and who've been at work all day.
That's before you consider our squad of highly paid SL wannabees, whereas Oldham have no such ambitions.
But, having scuppered our own season to date, all we actually need to do now is win games. We don't need to rack up big scores regardless of if we even can, we can't make up the PD that would be needed. We just win by any means necessary.
I think we'll win well, and hope we do, but I think Lesson 1 that Rohan is teaching them is about first doing whatever you need to do to get the win. It doesn't need to be pretty. Not no more.

| They need to win the collision and win the floor, their speed should do the rest, especially since we now have a half to get the ball out.
This really should be a formality against semi-pro opposition, but experience has taught us that we seem to be out-enthused all too often by these sides - and Oldham are [idefinitely[/i one of 'these' sides.. They, like us, have also played a couple of days before but - I'm guessing here..- probably won't have the sort of cover we can come up with to bring in fresh players, so that should be advantage us.
Another game I'll miss, so here's to hearing Mick and Hobbo waxing lyrically about how our expansive plays are ripping Oldham to shreds and about how they have no answer to it!! All fingers and toes appropriately positioned.....

I hope you're right about the big Bradford Bulls win and expansive play mate.
We've had too many close finishes for my liking this season.

The midweek aspect doesn't make a jot of difference to us for tonight's game. As you rightly say, if anything it plays to our advantage.
Where it does make a difference is against Batley on Sunday, where we will have had 4 days rest compared to Batley's 7. However you would hope the full time aspect of Bradford would be able to make up some of that gap, i.e. they can rest whereas the Batley lads will still be at work.

Add to that we've a large squad that allows for rotation so fatigue should be mitigated to some degree

| Batley's part time squad lists 31 names.
Of those, 5 have either not played at all or only played one, so effectively they pick from 26.
Of those, regulars Ainscough, Scott and Cowling are injured so they have available a squad of 23 part-timers against our 33 full-timers. Plus Moss. Plus now Charnock. So I don't think we have any "1 extra game" excuse, not really.
