| What chip do us Giants fan have on our shoulders? The 81 year chip that's been there since the last time we won the league or the chip that's been there since we finished bottom of the league so many times in SL and being on the end of some right drubbings by many a SL team over the summer era.
It must be just me and the odd few others, but if it came down to a Yorkshire club versus anyone else in a final I'd go for the Yorkshire club.

Erm...You've thrown me a bit to be honest. If I called you an Orange would you reply "Why are we an Orange? Is it the fact that we are the colour orange or because we are the fruit that is called an orange?"
Anyhoo I personally have made it clear on more than one occasion that I believe we are partly to blame for making you like that (an orange) so I'm not going to get too upset.

My reply wasn't aimed at you in the slightest. It's good too see a bulls fan wanting us to win something.

| if getting excited about the prospect of seeing our side successful after so many years of crap is "having a chip on my shoulder" then pass me the salt and vinegar!!
seriously though we have taken enough crap of you lot over the years and its only fair that you get some stick back now we are better than you.
and to pumpetypump, spot on! well done and if we don't win it I wish warrington all the best for the final.

| Anyone apart from Leeds for me... and not because of the rivalry with Leeds but because I am going to the GF again this year and I don't want to see Leeds in the final again!
After us I don't really mind who wins it as long as its a good game and the best team overall wins it or a team that deserves to win it. Any combo of Giants/Wigan/Wolves final would be good for me.

| I voted Huddersfield, but it's almost the best of a bad bunch in some ways.
The Bradford-Leeds thing doesn't bother me in that respect, I just want to see a new name on the trophy. I don't really want to see a second Warrington v Leeds Grand Final again so soon. And the evil sod in me thinks it'd be funny for Morley to walk in with his GF ring on the last day, and Briers with a GF ring would be unbearable. Wigan, meh, have their own set of tool fans and I'm not sure Huddersfield will keep up the run at the top (similar to Hull FC in 2006 if you will).
Huddersfield,
Wigan,
Warrington,
Leeds.
But it doesn't matter, I don't get what I want so it'll be Leeds v Warrington again.

I too remember back to the days of a packed Headingley for the visit of the Bulls, and the mayhem wrought by the Volcano, but sadly for you, it has all been downhill since, but is there really any need for such pettiness......"anybody but leeds etc etc."
I personally hope that if it can't be us, (yet again), then Huddersfield, who have played some cracking rugby this year, should be the ones to take the trophy home to a proper Yorkshire town!

Are you really getting your knickers in a twist over fans of a team from BRADFORD not wanting a team from LEEDS to win the final? Seriously?
I kinda think that's how local rivalry works unless I'm missing something. It isn't as if we've said we want your club to go bust.

Our apologies. What we should do is constantly want Leeds to win everything, even when they play Bradford, since they helped us out a short while back.
I can see it now, in 20 years, when a young 20 year old Rhinos fullback has a bad game and a Bulls fan laughs at him, Billy popping on here to abuse said Bulls fan and remind him they helped us out and we're ungrateful blah blah blah. Like those idiots at the Magic Weekend chanting about being ungrateful, who somehow don't seem to understand that a friendly rivalry doesn't mean hatred.
Leeds are local rivals for us. Most of our fans don't want them to win because of that. Hardly anyone wants the people at the club or the club itself to fall under actual hard times other than just losing games.
Learn that a rivalry is just that. It's not malicious, it's not vindictive, it's just a rivalry. Untwist your knickers and enjoy your game.
I'm not sure what we do when Leeds play Warrington though. They helped us out a bit too. Who do we cheer on? Are we ungrateful if we don't want both teams to win?

| Was a great game tonight, but I'm glad Warrington won.
Well played Huddersfield though, look a good, young, English team.
The new Bulls recruits looked good tonight, Carvell and Ferguson had solid games. Was nice to see Kopout playing poor, got bossed about by the Warrington defenders!

Was Kopout playing?? Seriously I always thought when he played for us he had no heart, proved it tonight. Yes our recruits looked good, why Shudds let Ferguson leave is a mystery to me.

| His swinging arm aside, I thought Dale Ferguson played great tonight. Always took 3+ defenders to bring him down, he won the penalty that led to him scoring a great try, and he looked very dangerous in a bit of space, drawing defenders well before spinning passes and offloads out wide.

I thought he had great feet for his try, looking at the defensive line, he was 2nd best to get there, but his footwork was pretty impressive. He has a bit of 'grunt' in him aswell!

| It's all ways there year goes to show that been the most consistent team in regular season does not guarantee you success and for the third year in a row the team that has finished top has failed to make the final, hoping Wigan can beat Leeds tomorrow but I don't see it happening.

Hudds are another team full of great palyers who appear to have an inability to spin the ball along the back line at speed. Leeds are the same. Only WIgan that I can think of do it regularly & impressivley, with numerous options of dummy runners. The others just seem to pass for the sake of it, hoping a 3/4 will step his opposite number & power through.

I thought Ratchford linked the play well yesterday, the 3rd (I think) Warrington try was very pleasing on the eye. Briers ball through the middle of 2 dummy runners was superb. I think Ratchford was standing behind the ptb originally, great movement. Huddersfield always looks susceptible when Warraington worked the overlap.

I agree, they both played well I thought. It shows the improvement in our recruitment when we sign two good performers from the playoff semis, who their respective fans would rather keep (money and all things begin equal).
And as Carvell is a confirmed Bull for next year I'd like him and therefore wire to win the final as opposed to Leeds or Wigan.

Both of Monaghan's tries were from superb handling (especially from Bridge who has been poor of late), but that was almost from set moves near the line designed to create the gap for the winger. I was meaning more from much deeper on the pitch, where the ball sweeps from one side to the other at high speed with numerous options. Apart from Charnely & Tomkins I think Wigan's back line is extremely average with very little true pace, but they look dangerous every time they do it.

I think they're both exceptional players for a club in our position. If we want to progress they are exactly what we need and Franny Cummins should be commended for convincing them to sign on the dotted.
