| The Wire v Giants game was on that Friday night when it snowed really bad. It was absolutely abysmal, the motorway only only had 1 lane open and it was closed when we left the ground so we staying in Warrington until it reopened. A couple of other games were called off. If I hadn't bought tickets earlier in the week I wouldn't have gone! (Typical Yorkshireman!)

| I'm gonna say a genuine well done to the Giants. Like everyone else,I didn't/ don't agree with the Kopzack affair and hope we get something else out of it,but that aside I think it's great what Hudds have achieved so far. Very happy for Paul Anderson and in Danny Brough they have the best player today, think he is brilliant and hope he gets man of steel.A lot of silly things get said between fans from the Bulls and Giants on here at times, both clubs have people who act like idiots at times( present company included there as well,me).
Would much rather Hudds finish top than our friends at Headingley, so well done from a very passionate Bulls fan

No, DG definitely claimed Shudds have a bigger away support than the Bulls. Best laugh I've had all week, he should be allowed to keep 'em coming. That was bloody funny.

| ON TOPIC: I think DG has a good point, it would be a big push for us to make the playoffs now but it is still possible! Looking at the table after the loss to Catalans I noticed we are 4 points behind both Hull teams and 6 behind Catalans. These are the only teams we could catch....
We would need a few favours from other teams to make the 8 and you would expect both Hull teams to win atleast 1 maybe 2 of their last 3 games but then you look at Catalans which I think is where we have our chance... Catalans have 26 points with only +11 PD but they have an awful run in of Wigan (H), Leeds (A) and Warrington (H) I think their is a decent chance they could lose all 3...
But we would have a massive job of our own to do starting sunday against Cas! with 20 points and -48 PD could we beat Cas London and the Giants and sneak into the playoffs on PD??
Unlikely? maybe, Impossible? not yet
COYB!!

| Yep. Got to say, Hull KR deserved it tonight. Annoying that their first try stood despite a knock-on. The sky commentators were overjoyed as well, so good for them.

Yes. Typical of Leeds to throw it so we are out.

Not really. Was always cats we were realistically chasing. Them winning a game or us losing one ends it. Otherwise comes down to points difference. Neither of hull teams were going to drop enough games to come into picture.

Exactly what I said in my previous post, both Hull teams were expected to do enough to get into the playoffs but its Catalans we are chasing now and I don't think anyone can realistically say Catalans couldn't lose all 3! Its up to us to do our job win our last 3 games, hopefully with decent scores against Cas and London and then we set up a show piece live on Sky last game of the season against the Giants!
Not saying it will happen but the playoffs aren't over just yet

| Is it just me who has zero confidence in Cummins?
Makes himself look stupid "we're playing play off football already". If that's what we would bring to the playoffs then its a good job we've missed out - it would have been embarrassing.
The errors and defence today just sums up our season.

| Couldn't go today but sounds like the players have packed up early for the end of the season. The only positive now is that we don't miss out on the playoffs on points difference.

| They looked up for it until Cas scored.
Same old story, heads dropped. Came back to life for spells in the second half, but we can't play well in patches and expect to win. We're not full of internationals like some teams, if we want to win we need an 80 minute performance, which I think we've only seen a couple of times this season.

| I think Cummins usually speaks a lot of sense and I think he's doing a pretty decent job under the circumstances.
Not a great performance today, the defensive frailties that we've struggled with for most of the year were back. Chase had too much pace and run Addy and few others ragged at times. I suspected we might see a drop in intensity though after the play offs were out of reach for anyone living on planet earth. Probably not intentional but I guess after a long season we have some tired bodies in that squad.
It was an entertaining game if not high quality and the chat with Cas fans during the game added to what is usually a decent afternoon out at Wheldon road. Castleford deserved their victory today though.

| If you want to see 'heads dropping' I guess that's what you'll see. To be honest, I certainly didn't see any until, I think when Cas hit 40, and that was more frustration than heads dropping. At the end of the day we were undone by Rangi Chase and he's been doing it nearly all season to better sides than us. What is disappointing is maybe that we didn't do what most sides have done against Cas and score more against them than they did against us.

| You can't honestly say we played with the same purpose and intensity as we did against Catalans for the majority of last week though.

| I thought there was plenty of effort - not always very well directed, to be fair but no-one was taking it easy or anything like that, and for sure, I think the result mattered to the team, the frustration at the end was palpable.
I think the Catalans game was a totally different match to be honest, where both sides defended pretty well and points were at a premium, whereas at Cas both teams seemed to think they'd simply outscore the other. I'm pretty sure that's not what was actually in anyone's head but it sort of looked like it at times
