| Decided to turn around after having crawled a couple of miles on the country road at junction 33. Glad i did now as safely back at the chapel house. Now who do i claim against for my wasted journey and costs?

| Quote ="Harrigan"That's different. Injuries happen in warm ups/training. How often does a tanker crash on the M62 causing players to be late?
I can understand why the fans who have made the trip are upset, but seriously, this probably wont happen again! It's the 1st time I can remember a game being postponed due to a tanker crash that closes the whole 6 lanes of the motorway.'"
Understand that, but just because its out of hulls control doesn't mean it should be off. Neither does the fact that it won't happen often.
Plenty of hull FC fans in agreement that the game should have gone ahead.

| To be fair there was plenty of supporters who had paid to see the game also caught up in the chaos. Not much that could be done other maybe coming to the decision a little earlier, but easier to say in hindsight.

Apparently (on the Radio, I think from Peter Gentle) Francis Cummins was consulted and wanted a sporting fixture/contest, and a joint decision to postpone was taken between Bradford, FC & the RFL Commissioner. Presumably if he'd not have been so magnanimous the game would have gone ahead v a 50% U20 side.

| The official statement from Hull FC is disingenious.
The Bradford Bulls team arrived late but with a full team able to play the match for an 8:30pm start.
The officials similarly were in attendance by then.
Hull FC had only 10 of their starting team of 17 available at this time.
Despite the start time being extended to 9:15. Hull could not provide enough players, thus the match was cancelled.

| 100% right to call the game off. Can't understand the argument to play against 10 Hull players.

I can understand itbecause you would have won, but it would have been a ridiculous decision. If the bradford coach couldn't have got there as the Hull players couldn't then no one would even be questioning the decision to postpone. Whether you've the home or away team the principle is the same

| I saw the team bus at the ground at 19.25. I'm sure they could have been on the pitch at 20.00 if needed.

Problem wasn't the Bulls who apparently arrived on time, but the West Yorks based FC players who got caught in the chaos and trapped on the motorway too close to the accident to divert. Sunday seems to be the best thing all round.

| Rather silly for anybody to say the game should of gone ahead with so many Hull players stuck in the traffic
Would we of said the same if we was at home and our Lancashire based players couldn't of got there
On the topic of us been awarded the 2 points, any news from the Leeds farce at the magic weekend in 2007 when we was robbed by Ashley Clown and Ganson

| The press release from the Highways Agency is saying that the M62 Eastbound (J34-J35) could still be closed tomorrow. Diversions in place.

| The M62 has to be the most frustrating motorway in the country! Never a bloody dull moment. My missus was driving back from Knottingley a couple of hours ago, only to find the M62 shut westbound for Roadworks. A nice guided tour (by me, over the phone) round the delights of Rothwell and Stourton ensued. And last Monday morning I set off for Leicester before 7, for an 11am appointment, only to find the M62 eastbound stationary because of a pile-up. After 45mins queuing for Chain Bar, I ended up doing a wonderful trip through the Heavy Woollen district before finally getting to the M1 at Ossett ages later.
If AC/DC ever had a road in mind for a Highway to Hell, it was surely the M62!

I thought it was very apt that, as we pulled up to park on Friday night in Hull, a classic Chris Rea song came on Radio Humberside. Longest trip for a fish butty ever.
