You ought to consider that it is at least possible there is no conspiracy, and a remote chance that the story is as plain and straightforward as the announcement says.

Well I can't imagine any championship clubs would want to begin a licencing round now, to find out in a months time that their in and have to get a whole squad and everything else ready, way after everybody else in the league has their squad sorted. Leaving them with dross = whipping boys of the league.

Hopefully this might mean that Elliot Whiteheads long term contract, which was unratified ( I think that was the word the RFL used) can now be so, and we can at least have one of our youngsters tied to the club. Hopefully Nas can be signed up! Best news in ages. Still think its a bit of a RFL fudge, but hey ho, a step in the right direction.

Listen; really, truly, the RFL are absolutely NOT of that view. They dearly want a successful and prosperous Bradford club back, because it is good for the game, because they don't have many big fish, and because it coincides with the best interests of the game.

OTOH they have to weigh in the balance the need to both be and appear just, as nobody is, or should, seeking to play down the terrible situation that our going into administration was, there are plenty of valid justifications for financial "penalties" and consequences, but using them as a deliberate means to spike our playoff chances isn't amongst them.

The effect of having less money will of course be to reduce our competitiveness, but that is an inevitable consequence and should not be confused with a desired negative outcome. They could hardly do nothing.
