I'm not sure, as I've not seen any hard and fast rules on this, but there might have to be a qualified coach or conditioner present (or at least employed by the club) or the players might not be insured while they train in the gym.

In a local gym you only need to have some one who is first aid trained, not necisarily gym qualified so in essence the receptionist only needs to be in. I don't know if it is the same for sports clubs and they need some one who has a more specialised quals (not necesarily first aid) or like some one said there may be no one who is first aid qualified left but was one of those made redundant the physio?

I think the difference being you go to a local gym, you sign a disclaimer "I'm an adult using equipment at my own risk, blah, blah, blah". The Bulls are using the gym as part of their work remit, therefore different rules will apply - one being I assume that they can only use the gym with "x" professional there (whether this is a physio, coach I haven't a clue".

Yes, and thats what it had better be because I see no other even vaguely ok reason to treat the players like this. But even if this was the case, does he not own a mobile? Does he not have Diskin or Heaths number? To put it in his language rather than mine, the players are the only remaining asset of any worth, so consideration should be made to keeping them honestly and timely informed. Or he could treat them as other human beings, not assets, and just show them some basic respect.

One of the main reasons I got the hell out of corporate insolvency, years ago and after a period in that field, was that I could not act in the way that it seems it is necessary to act in that field. It seems to take a special kind of person, with massively-broad shoulders, to be an insolvency practitioner. I care too much about my fellow human beings to be able to do that.

I absolutely agree with your sentiments, but the harsh reality is even a shred of feeling for your fellow humans would pretty much rule you out of a career in insolvency. However if he is trying to put a game on at the weekend - to bring in some more cash - this shambles cannot be helping. The team have done us proud to date but feel that this weekend might be a step too far now.

The problem with lining up various members of the RL great and good to help with the new set up is that at the time asked it might have appeared to be an opportunity to genuinely help the club. But when all the sh*t starts to fly as it has done this week you maybe wonder if you want to get covered in it?

I don't know where you worked, but a lot of IP work can be pretty rewarding - solving problems, selling businesses, saving jobs.

As is making employment untenable, unbearable or if trust and confidence breaks down. Although those last two are hard to prove.

I'd say cancelling meetings to discuss the future of the players without notice or reason would go some way to provide proof.

The gym thing is due to the insurance being invalidated if the conditioner and/or physio is not there to supervise. Rather than H&S.

From what I have been told, that post about sums the whole thing up in a nutshell. BN was asked last Thursday if he would coach for free until the end of the year, he said yes but it had to be done right as he is friends with MP and didn't want to be seen as coming in through the back door , so to speak. He also said he told BG that he wanted to keep FC on board too, hence the call BN made to him to ask him to stay.

He is now reconsidering after seeing the way BG has handled the situation.
