Yea, if your players and staff are working for free and the electric board are giving you free power. Unfortunately the 500K is on top of general running costs.

Unless the egm is almost immediate and Caisley were to take over PDQ I can't imagine there would be much left of the initial 500k if it's needed for debts. There is the possibility that it might hopefully scupper any possible attempt to go down the administration route, though it has to be said that we don't actually know for certain the CC is interested in taking over directly running the club.

As I type, I hear on Radio Leeds that they are expecting an announcement this afternoon...

Because some folk have been taking the pee with pledges, particularly on-line so the need to be sure.

it must be touch and go if they are double and triple checking it. Fair enough double checking the amount but surely something can be released saying it is approx so many thousand. This silence and other comments would indicate they are an ants bollock + or - the 500k mark.

They are still counting and checking some pledges by phone where there may have been a website glitch.

I wonder just what percentage of fans who have pledged will actually come up with the cash. There has got to be a percentage even if its small that will re-think and fail to pay up. Theorectically even if £500k has been pledged you could still fall short.

You're not wrong, and given the poor PR from the club, comments from ex-Chairman etc over previous days it wouldn't be a shock to see some people not cough up.

I was all in favour of the club extending the deadline over the weekend, just thought they should have announced it on Friday.

There must be a concern though, that the longer the club delays the announcement the greater will be the level of non payment. The passage of time since pledging will make some people will feel less obligated to pay, they will argue that the club have moved the goalposts etc. If they pledged iwhen swept up in the emotion of the crisis, they might have since become more detached, might question whether they can afford to honour their pledge.
