| Went for:
Whitehead - obviously - hat-trick
Jefferies - kicking game on the last tackle in the second half superb.
Bateman - the last one was a difficult pick but for an 18 year old he played like a man 10 years older. A real talent along with Whitehead we are still producing top forwards.

| 1. Jefferies - awesome kicking game
2. Whitehead - hat trick
3. Sammut - the guy has bags of energy. He seemsto be verywhere on the pitch. Tackled well and saved a couple of tries by making that extra effor to be in the in-goal defending kicks.

| Jeffries - The match winner, major difference between the two sides
Whitehead - Outstanding in defence and attack
Hargreaves - led the forwards to dominance which swung the game
3 great performances just edging out solid efforts from Langley, Diskin, Kearney & Sammut
Bateman looked really impressive for a young 'un. If the voting was about the relative experience to effort/skills displayed in this game then he would be in the top 3.

| Jeffries - Dominated the game in the 2nd half
Whitehead - Excellent tries, in particular his final effort.
Bateman - Dangerous running and he did a fair bit of good defensive work too.

Hargreaves
I thought both Jeffries & Hargreaves had their best games for the club.
Bateman, Sammut & Kearney all had good games.
If all the lads can take the same spirit & desire into next weeks Wires game, and maintain it for 80 mins - win, lose or draw they will build on the confidence they created in this game.

As for Joseph, we might as well have played with 16 men for what good he did. Surely there are better prospects in the Junior sides than this guy?'"
Couldn't disagree more. What did he do to upset you? This guy, who was running a pub this time last year, takes the ball up well and for someone who's not huge, takes a lot of steam out of defenders. He plays as if he wants to play, and looks lively. SL is a whole new ball game for him and so far as I can see he's every chance of getting up to the pace at least as a valuable squad player, a role he's already doing well enough for me.

| I thought Jospeh went alright given the little time he was on. He didn't have chance to do much.
For the record I went for:
Jeffries
Hargreaves
Whitehead

| Yeh, I remember Joseph taking a lot of putting down, and drawing in three or four defenders more than once.

He's not done anything to upset me, he's just not cut out for this level in my opinion. He's played two games and taken 12 carries total which is pretty poor, especially for a forward.
I don't doubt that he is trying his best and the step up is a huge one to make so I take my hat off to him in that respect but I'm just not a fan. Everyone has there opinion, thats just mine and i respect you for having yours.

| I think Joesph has done alright in the games he has played in. But I see him as a bit of a stop gap signing until McAvoy is ready to step up and be 6th choice Prop.

| McAvoy looks a bit small for a prop to me. From what I've seen he does have potential, but he isn't huge.

| Let's be honest, Joseph is only getting in the 17 because of our injury list
If Elima, Manuokafoa, Sibbit, Donaldson and Olbison had been fit on Saturday do you think Joseph would have made the 17?

| Of course he wouldn't, although I would personally play him in front of Sibbit. Mind you, I'd play Mrs. Aardvark ahead of Sibbit. But he didn't come for a trial and get a one year deal to start in Feb. ahead of Olivier Elima, nor is he on the same wage, nor is he claiming to be some superstar signing, so let's be a bit realistic, eh? He's not holding himself out as the next Willie Mason, he's just started making the start of the start of a Superleague squad slot, and good luck to the lad, all he can do is improve from his first taste of SL, which to me for someone so inexperienced has been a good beginning. He's not let himself down and has shown many of the others some real enthusiasm. Let's see where he is in a season or two, eh?
Maybe (who knows) he'll never be more than an able deputy. What would be wrong with that?
