If Purtell is on the wing then aren’t the centre options Walker, Platt and Sykes (and maybe Whitehead I guess) at the moment? Pryce would be a decent option over most of that list.
'"
If purtell was on wing then first choice centres would be Lulia and walker. I'd take either of those ahead of pryce just for their better handling skills. After that your looking at crookes, platt,Sykes and maybe whitehead/Bateman. Don't think any of latter group are significantly better or worse than pryce as centres. None of that group would be 1st choice centres for me. 1st choice pick 2 from Lulia, purtell and walker.'"
Sorry wasn't being clear, I meant who goes in the centres with Lulia if Purtell is on the wing. What I was trying to say was that Pryce, should he arrive, would go ahead of most of the options we currently have.
I'd like to say Walker would be first choice, I like the guy and his attitude is great but there's got to be a question mark over what state he'll be in when he starts playing again. At the moment I have Purtell and Lulia in the centres with Ainscough and Kear on the wings.

Agree entirely. Thats my preferred option at moment too before we see how they go in pre-season. Assuming Pryce signs then think he'd be cover for wing and Walker cover for in case of injuries.

| Yeah but with Purtell and Lulia in Centres it is important we pair Tall - PURTELL and short - AINY.
So:
Ainscough
Purtell
Lulia
Kear

take it you haven't noticed that lulia and purtell are both the same height (6'4"icon_wink.gif. doesnt really matter which winger goes on which side they'll still be playing alongside someone tall.

| I've got no clue whether Karl Pryce is coming back and have mixed feelings about him anyway because of his general 'not up for it' attitude
But I have to say that a combo of Lulia, who has a track record for being a centre that can create plenty of openings for his winger, and a fully motivated Karl Pryce - who certainly knows the way to the try line - sounds pretty decent to me.

| Hes not gonna be pulling on our kit in 2012, end of arguement. Hopefully purtell and lulia in . Last uear too many 'easy points' given away out wide ( spesh with platt amd jefferies seemingly playing totally different systems and ah van clearly playing a dofferent sport) stop shifting silly points amd the, close games we always lose become win-able

Thierry Henry is training with Arsenal, doesn't mean he'll be turning out for the Gunners in their next match.

| if he did go back to you and didn't find a fire in hes belly to play rugby league then he should really look for another jobs rather than talking the talk and stealing a living.
Bradford is hes hometown club where it all started if thats not enought to motivate a player back to hes best then nothing will.

Wenger must've been at the frankincense. Karl Pryce is the last person he needs when his team are being clogged off the park at Stoke or Bolton.

Well he's not a bad signing for a squad player. He can cover a range of positions along the back line. Now, if they could only get him to grow a backbone

| Given Kear has come back from international duty with an injury, and we lack depth when it comes to actual wingers (though we've plenty of centres/fb who could fill in) having someone who can score tries for fun like Peanut can do makes sense
