Burgess change the game, so must get my vote!

2. Briggs - Seems to have a nice creative side to his game
3. Burgess - On today's performance, would rather have Burgess than Feka!

Which led me, for some weird reason, to suddenly start off singing:

Good performances also by young props, koppy and burgess. Will be interesting to see who misses out when scruton returns.

1. Jeffries.. Others were great in support but this guy controlled the game for us
2. L'strange. Worried the hell out of the Salford defence and put is into so many attacking positions.
3. Burgess. Should not be in the top 3 really as Briggs, Royston, Elima and especially Langley were outstanding.
BUT what an exciting player to watch. He has the "whoo!!" factor in that when he has the ball and running at the opposition you
expect fireworks. Haven't experienced that intake of breath for any Bulls player for a few years.

Royston barely put a foot wrong.
I've long admired Jeffries & he showed why he is a top SL HB.
Burgess was a revelation. He wasn't on long enough for MoM however.
L'Estrange was the difference between the sides. Salford had no-one with that infectious non-stop energy. Earlier in the season I thought Diskin was in a different class but he was hardly noticeable today, apart from how long Potter kept him off the pitch.

Observations:

Yesterday was another example of why L'Estrange should be captain in my opinion, although with the hooking role being a joint affair he's not always going to be on the field. Royston is increasingly reminiscent of Michael Withers at full back, very safe and reliable. I'm pleased to see Briggs going well and Jeffries has been a revelation. I really hope he keeps coming up with the goods as consistency has always been his problem but so far so good. Burgess = class. What a crowd pleaser!

If Bradford could make L'Estrange an 80 minute man they would be a massively different proposition. When he was on they tore Salford apart but lost it when he went off.

Or even better....

If Diskin can contribute in the same manner (which he can as he is a quality player), we should be in a position where we are seeing 2 fresh hookers tearing teams apart!

From what I've seen of Diskin this year, i think he seems bigger than he ever did at Leeds. Might just be me but he doesn't seem particularly fit (to say he only plays 1/2 game).

For me the big difference between our two hookers are the energy/enthusiasm they inject into the team.

Diskin's languid style is infectious for all the wrong reasons, whilst Heath's effervescence really picks us up.

I'm not Diskin's biggest fan, but he does a job I guess - not sure I'd have given him a 3 year deal though

I like the fact that there is a difference between Diskin and L'strange and how they play and are played.
Diskin is more physical in defence in the first 20 mins against fresh opposition, though I do think we are yet to see him doing more in attack and distribution.
L'strange comes on later to attack a tiring defence with his "Hurry-up" play.

Think the rest of the side have yet to get used to playing with Diskin for some reason. There is an issue with players overrunning him and him chucking some poor/forward passes. This was in evidence on Sunday where we looked far more likely to make errors around the ruck with Diskin there than when L'Strange was there.

Could be that L'Strange tends to run from DH more or simply pass to a player stood more deep. We only try to play on the gain line when Diskin is on the field and I'm not keen on that style as we tend to drop more ball like that.

They were all flat. Unlike Salford's.

Yes he can be praised for a decent run our against a very poor team but to suggest man of the match is an insult to the other players who shone against salford

Never realised there was a minimum amount of time you had to be on pitch before you were eligible to be considered for motm.
