Ainscough knocked on and he just ignored it! He was stood right in front of him too!

| Great afternoon of entertainment between two fairly evenly matched sides. Some excellent defence from the Bulls which was a big plus after the debacle at Huddersfield. I was fearing the worse after letting them in for a soft early score but thankfully we recovered and did well after that.
Sykes put in some really crucial tackles (particularly in the 1st half) and deserves some credit this week. Probably made the game closer in the 2nd half than we needed to but Potter will be pleased with the overall performance.
Hopefully Briggs will be back next week, to bring a better long kicking game to the side. Herbert doesn't have a lot of power in his boot and at times we struggled to get more than 30m on the kicks which meant Cas were often starting their set near the halfway line. Minor grumbles though in what was otherwise a very entertaining game with some nice Rugby from both sides.
Ah Van looked much more comfortable on the wing and made some good yards from dummy half. Selection dilemma for Potter once Chev and Raynor are fit again!

| Excellent defence this week - they knew we had to do alot better in that department, and we did.
Sykes was excellent today aswell in defence, made some really good aggressive tackles.
Kearney & L'Estrange were both excellent.
Herbert made some poor kicks, but our defence made up for it. Will relieve the pressure having Briggs back in the side meaning there are 3 players capable of putting in good kicks.
Hicks was poor, but to both sides, I don't think he deserved the booing he got really though.
Thrilling game, had my heart racing near the end. We had that massive spell of posession in their half, and when we let them back in with that try it would have been easy for them to let their heads drop. They didn't though, kept playing, the forwards kept tackling everything. We would have lost that game last year (and probably last week too) but we were much improved today. I went to the game just hoping for an improved performance, and we definitely got it. The effort was back 1-17 & now hopefully the optimism will be too!

Kick went up, Bulls player patted the ball back and straight to the Cas player. Wish a few players would hang back a little to cover, that is the 2nd time at Odsal this year we've conceeded a long range effort from our own attacking kick!

I thought Herbert was shocking today, especially his kicking. We might aswell of just took 10, rather than him kick for touch. He should have got the ball out more aswell at times. Hopefully he will get better, a new country and recovered from a recent injury he can only get better.

| Really exciting game today. Everyone played really well in defence (mostly) and attack. Hopefully we can put in a performance like that next week.
Herbert's kicking was poor. He just kicked it anywhere.
Ah Van and Sykes also had pretty good games. Sykes was excellent in defence and Ah Van was the same in attack.
It was tense at the end but luckily we managesd to hold on.

His kicking was poor, but there were a few nice touches in attack, and when Briggs is back some pressure will be relieved (for Kearney aswell)

| Tense stuff at the end but defence stood firm. Even with Heath deciding to knock on with 10 seconds left! Thought Sykes was excellent in defence today and Kearney - just awesome.
Thought Cas got found out a bit today, everything good they do seems to go through Chase, shut him down and you keep them quiet.
Not a classic by any means, but I hope we keep that steely defence up. Well done.

He certainly is their go to man, and when they're behind they look to him to create something. We shut him down well though.
Clarke does look an exciting prospect too.

| The first 15-20 minutes we let Rangi Chase do what he wanted, when we closed him down, Cas were abit lost. They are still a very good team though and will upset some of the bigger teams this year.

| I thought Herbert did alright, certainly not "shocking" or "poor" overall. Some of his kicks weren't the best but he also diffused two tough crossfield kicks that could well have saved two Cas scores. We will look more balanced with Kearney linking with Briggs and Herbert.

| Great team performance today! Much improved defence, what a change from last week and nice to see the lads actually walk the walk after talking about needing to improve. There was plenty of cheap talk last season that wasn't backed up on the field but this was much better.
I thought every player played their part but in particular I thought Sykes, Kearney, Ah Van and Platt were good in the backs and in the forwards Scruton and L'Strange really made a big impact off the bench.
I think it's a little unfair to bag Herbert too much for his kicks, many had to be made from his own 40m line under pressure and with Cas having three players back for the kick it's very hard to find space. We had plenty of chances in the 1st half too and had we been more clinical we could've made the game safer.
Great to be in the stadium with such a big passionate crowd and a great following from Cas too. The close finish was hair raising but great entertainment.

IMO its keep Orr quite and you shut down Castleford.

| Cas lost Danny Orr mid-way through the 2nd half, which obviously didn't help them, but when you look at their squad on paper they are way higher up the league than you would expect.
Michael Platt is quite right to feel annoyed at being overlooked for the England setup when players like Ferres are being called up. The guy is a talentless carthorse and was completely outplayed by Platt today.

| Fantastic defensive effort from all the Bradford players today. We withstood everything Cas threw at us and the final 15 minutes were nail biting but we stood strong and got the 2 points we deserved.
I felt we were stronger in the forwards with both Lynch and Scruton being far superior then Huby and the rest of the Cas pack. Scruton for me has been a bit average this season but turned on the sort of form that shows why he was picked for England. Heath coming on from the bench killed the tiring Cas defenders and gained us vital yardage.
The scoreline was a closer then it should have been as Cas scored of 2 of our mistakes. They never looked like scoring from close range and when Chase was closed down they looked average. They have been overachieving this season in my opinion and may have been found out today.
We didn't seem to pick up any fresh injuries and will hopefully take a full squad over to St Helens on Friday. If we can perform like we did today then we'll push them all the way. Finally, great support again from the Bradford fans. Well done to Cas for bringing a fair few as well. Fantastic game of Rugby.

I had my back to play looking at the clock counting down and then it stopped at 2 seconds I couldn't understand why and turned round to see the scrum had formed lol.
Absolutely immense today what a great afternoon! Superb defence.

| As others have said great defensive effort from the team today, I think we still need to work on attack but all in all a great game to watch. My one complaint is our kicking, not just in game but when we go for touch after a penalty...why oh why can't we seem to make more metres? I remember watching the preseason games with Briggs, Herbert and thinking our kicking game had improved a great deal, I just hope when Briggs comes back in we pick up that form again.
As for the Cas fans who were chanting some racist abuse outside the stadium after the game had finished, well done you've dragged your town and club down a little today, I know it's the minority but it was a disgrace nonetheless.
