The blokes obviously made a massive error of judgement but it shouldn't make the fans question his commitment to applying himself and putting in 100% as he does in every game. We all drop a bollock from time to time and I am sure an apology will be forthcoming when he realises that his comments have caused such offence.

Cannot agree more with eddievan. The guys an absolute workhorse and obviously hurting give the man a chance. If everybody in a Bulls shirt put in the same effort we wouldn't be even be having this conversation. True enough he shouldn't have said it. First real mistake in my opinion by Connor, I think he's done a great job in promoting the Bulls so far.

I agree with this I feel guilty for saying his comments were out of order earlier on as he does put the effort in. Just look at some of the shifts he's put in on one leg in recent years - all after being shifted out to make way for Adrian Morley in 2005 which must have killed him. That said it was a terrible choice of words and bound to get people's backs up. The blame for that getting printed in the way it did though has to fall at the feet of the club and the T & A. Which is why I find all so strange. Why now and in fact why at all? It's all very bizarre. That bit about the warm up being lackadaisical wound me up. Surely Connor Muprhy or whoever signs these articles off at the club must have considered what this would make Andy and the players look like? Has he been sold down the river for some reason or is this genuinely a mistake?

Anyway it's nearly Sunday and will all be forgotten about soon enough - plus I'm becoming obsessed with conspiracy theories and need to chill out. Time to get on with Castleford even if the T & A want to concentrate on last week.

I don't blame Connor for running with the "Scoop" after that's his right as a reporter, though I suspect he didn't expect the over reaction from the usual muppets on the T & A forum!
Andy Lynch on the other hand should have used some common sense and run it past Stuart Duffy who would have calmed it down or put a stop to it! I suspect the Bulls will make the players run it through them in future! So while Connor got his scoop this time, he may find better ones curtailed in future which would be a shame!

To be honest, this has left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth

After the debacle of last week, I was gradually getting over it all, and with the boost of hearing that Briggs, L'Estange and Langers were back in the squad, I was really pumped for tomorrow. This has all been given a bit of a kick in the gut by the daft comments by Lynchy

I'll give the guy a bit of latitude and say that he got caught in an unguarded moment by Connor, and said a few things that he maybe thought were a bit off-the-record. It must happen. Connor is obviously pretty close to a lot of the players, and I'm sure they say lots of stuff that they never expect to end up in the papers!

More broadly, it does raise some issues about how the club manages the flow of information and interviews to the press. In general, the interviews in the T&A are anodyne, bland to the point of being boring. This one stands out like a sore thumb! Wonder why?

Jesus even last year when we lost 12 on the bounce I still turned up and have never nor will ever boo a player that walks onto the pitch with a Bulls shirt because I am a true and proud supporter of the BRADFORD BULLS!!!!

Which is why I suggested that the players now close ranks and don't give him anything. Up to now he has been very good and he's got a good rapport with the fans especially through his twitter page. Which begs the question why do this article and why do it today when everyone is now looking forward to the next match?

What sort of a reaction did he honestly think this article would get from the readers, the players and the club?

If it's the case that he's developed this close relationship with the players to the point that they feel they trust him enough to make off the record remarks then he has just completely destroyed any trust they had in him. That would then make you question what his motives were - I'm not going to suggest it's a stitch up job but what exactly was that article all about?

He is paid to play rugby league which he does quite well I suspect he hasn't got a degree in dealing with the media. There are people at the club who should be protecting him from putting himself in the situation he has.

He's also past it and overrated. Dont stoop to that level Edward. Theres no need for it.

Exactly plus Connor Murphy/T & A should consider the way they make the players look in the shark infested waters of the local media before publishing articles and the effect that has on their long term relationship with the players and the club.
